I have been doing this stretch for 3 days now. My back has felt better than it has in a decade. For the first time in as long as I can remember I have periods in my day where I have zero pain. Thank you so much.
Sad part about constant pain is that while not having pain is great, we get so used to everyday pain that something feels missing when you are ok. I have 3 back injuries and nobody really understands the severity until i mention i actually have shrunk an inch
I am a fitness instructor and know a lot about the health of the spine. I also have RA which inflames the nerves. I’ve been suffering from sciatica for weeks now and have tried all the tools in my tool box with no results. The pain shoots down my leg and my foot is numb. So painful I can barely stand. I’ve stretched, I’ve inverted, chiropractic care, massage….no relief. Thank you for this traction method!!! Felt relief immediately. Have done the method 4x today and will continue until I have zero episodes. Can not thank you enough. My job depends on the function of my body. Blessing to you and your practice🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻✝️
I’ve Tried Every Other Stretch On This App And Nothing Got As Close To This , Ive Had 2 Car Accidents That Injured My Back.. 3 Epidurals And I Thought The Pain Would Never Go Away But This Stretch Had Me Screaming Of Joy It’s Overwhelming At First But The Relief After About 5 Minutes Is Amazing I’m Glad I Came Across This Video Thank You Ohh Soo Much You Are A Life Saver God Bless You
I injured my back four years ago and then diagnosed with spinal stenosis/sciatica. I have had varying degrees of pain since. From 1 to 9. Most of the time the pain was about a 3-4. I have been going to a chiropractor 2-3 times a month ever since and my orthopedic Doctor wants to operate on my back, which I'm against. I recently discovered a version of your method whereby I lay on my bed face down and let my head hang over the edge, get close to the ground. I can feel my back decompressing as I find my back muscles to relax. This has been nothing short of a miracle to me! I literally have no back (L4-L5) pain at all for 3-4 weeks running! My chiropractor is very supportive. I'm so happy that I found your video to support this stretching exercise. I am pain free! Hooray....
I’ve been dealing with chronic back pain from a herniated disc (L4/L5) 3 years ago and this stretch is the ONLY thing I’ve found that has significantly relieved the pain, and I’ve done everything- PT, chiro, cortisol shot, etc. Thank you!
I watched one of your other videos and started doing the stretches. After being in pain all morning, I am finally getting some relief. I try to bear the pain and not take meds every 8, 6 or 4 hours. Some days I just have to take the meds at least 3 times that day. I will continue with the stretches in the mornings and try lying on a pillow and hanging my head and arm off the bed at night. I'm praying between the two, I get continued relief 😮💨. I'm tired of the tears. Thank you!
I just so happened to stumble across this video. My sciatica has been terrible over the last 4 weeks. Chiropractor visits and haven’t received a complete fix. This decompression worked wonders for me. I did it for 5 minutes. I will do this again for 30. Thank you so much! This is a game changer!!!!!!!!
Great video. Been suffering excruciating stabbing pain in lower back for several weeks. Watched other RU-vid help video to try different excercises but to no affect. Tried this exercise with two pillows and some cushions and after a minute felt a pop in my lower spine. Was sceptical at first but have been for a walk and no pain. Brilliant 👍🏻
Further to above, after two weeks the pains have subsided. I,m carrying a bit of weight around the middle so will try and loose a stone hoping that this will ease pressure around the lower back. Love biscuits and crap food so it will be difficult but that back pain is debilitating so will give it a go.
I have been suffering from lower back pain for the last couple of weeks. Today was the worst day ever, the pain was horrible. I’m writing this message while doing these stretches. I hope they will help ease the pain. I’m happy to read that this works for a lot of people. I like the stretch but I’m feeling some pain while doing this exercise as soon as I move down my neck. Did anyone feel the same thing?
This did it for me thank you so much. I just started working from home and was having some sciatica pain. The first two days I was in pain and found your videos on the 3rd and it’s gone away for the most part. I’ve been working out lightly again as well. Really appreciate you!

Oh my god! I love you so much, You didnt sell as a product, but showed as a free way of relieving back pain. I just did this exercise and I stood up, I got a lot of energy and my pain is already a bit more relieved. I'm totally gonna do this evey day and check your channel! Namaste!
BE CAREFUL with the reverse decompression! I did it for 3-4 minutes and my vertebra right above my waist dislocated. I heard a big pop and felt my lower back shift down; there was immediate numbness from my waist down to both legs and I couldn’t stand up. My left leg wouldn’t move, I couldn’t lift it and my right leg barely moved but I could at least lift that one to shuffle while bent over and in constant pain. I had to get my door unlocked to get help; my bed is very close to my door, so I only had to move a foot away. I got help with rolling a computer chair over for me to sit on with a pillow as a back support since I couldn’t lean back. After about a 5 minute panic attack, I could stand up to crawl in my bed on my side with only discomfort and back spasms; I couldn’t lay on my back as it was starting to give me MAJOR back spasms. 4 days later of bed rest and Ibuprofen or Naproxen, and I’m back to normal. During the first 2 days, I could barely walk and one of my legs was longer than the other, causing me some problems with just standing. Everything evened out on the 3rd day and there was no more pain or discomfort on the 4th day. I just thought I should warn everyone that this is a possibility!
With any PT / Chiro advice, You must follow with Caution. I have been advised by my Pain Management / Physiatrist Doctor to AVOID certain moves pertaining to my lower back and especially Cervical moves due the Mild to Moderate Stenosis at various sites in my Spine and the amount of Degraded Vertebrael Discs and OA lining my Facet joints. Some Moves can be beneficial, others can produce irreparable Harm!. For instance, some years ago, I was enticed to try Spinal Decompression by an experienced Chiropractor using a DX 9000 machine. The spine was being decompressed (lumbar & Cervical) separately NOT simultaneously using this Machine. The theory is to actually "pump" the discs by decompressing and then releasing, creating Negative pressure that would Draw disc material back into the Disc. However, if the disc are critically Thin (like many of mine), this action could do more harm. After onee particular session on my Neck, after getting back to my car, I felt a Terrible Fullness in my Left ear and loud ringing !! That lasted two weeks. Needless to say , all sessions were Ceased Immediately. Truth Be Told, I have suffered with Cervical and Lumbar issues (first starting in the Lumbar spine/ Hips) for decades! I'm 72, male, with a Leg Length Discrepancy of 1" shorter right leg as a result of a HS Football injury of a fractured right femur in 1966 (at age 15). That LLD has wreaked havoc with my Physiatry - putting my body out of whack bc of the shorter leg. As I learned many decades later how by leaving that LLD unaddressed until it was too late, creating uneven Hips and SI Joint inflammation (Sacroilitis) affected my entire Spine to the top of my Head. My Rheumatologist (who tested me for RA and AS - neg for both) told me that all Back Issues/Problems stem from the SI Joints - the most crucial in the body. The LLD has resulted in creating DextroScoliosis of 25 derees - twisting and Curving the Spine further affecting the Discs, foraminal stenosis, and involving the Central and Peripheral nervous systems! Cervical Instabilities affects soooooo much: Tinnitus, Sinusitis, ear & eye pains, Occiptal / Temporal Headaches, TMJ , IBS and Bladder/Bowel Incontinence. CI affects (or can affect) the Vagus Nerve !! The 10th Cranial Nerve - the largest Cranial Nerve in the Body affecting the Parasympathetic Nervous system controlling the functions of vital organs.
I'm a 37 year old painter, have bulging discs, compressed nerve roots L4, L5. Maralgia parasthetica, stage 4 spinal degeneration, slanted pelvis and straight neck. Drs kept telling me to do 10 minutes exercise. Can't wait to try this
I've been suffering with Grade 2 Spondylolisthesis for some years now. I've tried all the physio, stretches, chiropractors etc and non of it's helped. This stretch has really helped me so much, it's pretty much instant pain relief by decompressing that lower spine. Thank you so much for posting this video 🇬🇧
Hey! I also have spondylolisthesis 1 cm forward. The vertebrae L5-S1 have shifted relative to each other. Almost nothing hurts me, only sometimes my right foot grows numb. Neurosurgeons are sent for an operation, to insert the metal structure there. I do not want.
@@seasunny100 me too. I have grade 2 spondylolisthesis. My doctor recommend for a surgery nut i'm not. What i have to do is hannging and do thesame with this video
l just want to say...THANK YOU... My back has been in pain for about 3 months every day in the morning my back hurts so much I saw you on RU-vid and decided to do the exercise When I woke up in the morning I got out of bed with no pain I didn't notice it until I was in the kitchen as I said my back it doesn't hurt your exercise did work thank you...
@@kimalonzo3363 the first few times no. But last night it did. It was like the inside muscles of my lumbar released and something deep in my pelvis popped.
Man I’ve spent like 7 months doing every stretch known to man, chiro, physio, ems machine, sleeping with a pillow between my legs, yoga. The first release was very uncomfortable to do BUT it is the only thing that has brought some instant relief. The pain is not gone but I’ll definitely try this every day now.
I try a modified version (i hang my head lower to get more decompression) of the first one after seeing this and it has legit changed my life i have an l4/l5 disc herniation sitting on my sciatic nerve, for five years and after trying it im legit nearly bk to normal in 5-6 weeks! I do it 2-3 times a day if not more. Much love for this video! Posting for people who need to see this!
@@Hellosss-uf5op honestly not even close, started with five deep breaths to feel the decompression and then increased it slightly. the longest ive done in one go is probably 5 mins but when i started i used to do it about 5-6 times a day
@@mattcrisp9635 I do that too but it would never decompressed. I do yoga with a lot of movements but stopped them all to check if this worked and it did. I am moving back into that now to do them both together.
I tried techniques from plenty of videos and this one is the only one that worked I felt relief almost instantly and I'm truly grateful I found your video❤️
What i can say is....thank you....😊i've bee crying all the time because of my lower back pain and having anxiety....after i did this it was an instant relief to me...dizziness is gone...headache is gone....thank u so much sir❤
I tweaked my lower back and was down for about three days. I couldn't walk upright and I was starting to get sciatic pain. This really helped me so much, along with the other video on sciatic pain stretches, but I think this one the most. Today I am walking upright again and the sciatica is subsiding, so thank you for this!!
I've bought a Teeter Hangup and used it regularly because my job requires me to be at my workstation for hours at a time. Using it 5-10 minutes a day helps me tremendously. However, if you don't have, away from your Teeter or can't afford it these techniques are spot on and I absolutely recommend doing them. Thanks for sharing!
It absolutely was only two days ago since I applied this back pain, MyBackPain7.blogspot.com but it already made some difference. This is a strongly suggested option to help keep lower back pain from recurring. As I had thought, it fulfilled my expectation. I`ve only tried it a few times but appears to do what it`s meant to..
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to uncover exercises for stiff hips joints try Letza Joint Relief Lessons ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my m8 got amazing success with it.
This works ! That's real natural decompression, not like those Chiro decompression beds.I did once that bed with Chiro and I left with more back pain than before and lasted weeks !! Those beds are horrid ! Unnatural movements and way too much stretch causing more damage..This natural stretch is excellent because you work with your own body weight. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you, I can't wait to try this. I have a lot wrong with my spine and at my last consultation I was told that the loss of lordosis wasn't important. I'm 46 and I've had problems since I was 18. I've had to use a walking stick for eight years now. I live in Scotland and the NHS has failed me so much, no I'm not out doing the NHS clap every week because I refuse to be a hypocrite. I practice yoga and I swear that's the only reason that I have any mobility. Really appreciate this advice
After few months of seeking a back pain treatment, I have finally discovered the ideal back pain guidebook for me MyBackPain7.blogspot.com Certainly helps with back pain throughout sleep. Very glad with this particular guideline. It has everything I desired to help me relieve my back pain..?
wow, that is magic.. i have a "hernie discal and lombociatic compression" i don't know the english term. but i did a 15 minutes decompression technique and little pain release but huge difference while walking... easy and relaxing + pain and fonctionnal improvement.. thanks!! will repeat several time a day!!
I would like to say thank you a lot. Ive been dealing with pain for almost 6 month, went to physiotherapy more than 10 times and still cant sleep well because of the pain. I try your stretch, just for 20 minutes, and all pain gone. i dont even scare to cough now. usually even cough hurt so bad. for first time my back feel like it supposed to and now I can walk, sit and sleep without pain. thank you a lot.
Someone who understands that coughing can be so painful. If I am in a standing position I have to hold on to a wall or something when I cough to brace myself. Otherwise I will probably hit the floor
I was very pleased that this gave me relief from sciatica and low back pain for several hours. I will now do these exercises daily or maybe a few times a day. This video is more useful than many others which focus on strengthening muscles which doesn't seem to help at all.
Dude I would like to thank you for this video. I was suffering from a really bad pain and left office early as I wasn’t able to sit or stand. After reaching home I tried this exercise and felt much better. Was able to walk and stand again. Thank you.
Shan, I'm sorry for your pain but it's good to know I'm not the only one who has pain so bad you can't sit, walk or stand. I'm doing one of the stretches right now while lying on my side.
Awesome Loved the way you explained. I have bought this Back Stretcher from Amazon they are really the best You should check these out: www.amazon.com/s?k=back+stretcher&me=A2MVH67JGNFYX1&ref=nb_sb_noss
These stretches are wonderful. One thing that helps these stretches work better is proper hydration! If you are not completely hydrated, the disc can not fully expand because it's mostly fluid. So keep hydrated and streach properly. I'm not a Doctor and not giving medical advice only relaying my anecdotal experience.
I found that working out your abs once a day everyday is working wonders for me. After a few days of doing that my back feels ten times better, then its a matter of keeping up with the ab workouts everyday, these decompression exercises everyday, and going on daily walks at least 30 minutes up to an hour everyday. And of coarse staying away from lifting anything for a long while. Oh and drink 2 liters of water a day.
This actually works! You just have to make sure to get the right posture (like a tent) and relax as much as possible by breathing in and out deeply! Many thanks legend!
I tried this today. The 2nd one with my feet hanging. When hanging, my back felt like its stretching out, like you said it should, I hung like that for 4 sets of 3 mins each. By back did feel surprisingly better. Had a little pins and needles in my one leg for a minute or so, but Im gonna keep it up for the week. Hopefully it keeps improving.
Thank you! This really helped, I usually hold myself up on a tricep dip bar to get the pull from gravity on my back but this video show a great way to do this in a much more relaxed way, thanks again!
Dear doctor is it normal while doing this stretch I get relief but as soon as I let go the muscle hurts almost wanting to spasm if I hold it to long feels like everything compresses again and causes pain
This is what relief feels like? I truly am thankful for watching your video. After my stretch I even chuckled in pure joy for the pain these immediately relieved for me. Thank you!
