Same im glad that when i was alto i was just vibing well with everyone usually quiet until someone asked me a question or i asked someone a question i just was there
I fall in these gategories and i play my saxophone for 3 years i think this is becuase of covid becuase i have a teacher and i learned the saxophone in the school
Who cares? If they are learning music then its a good thing. Dont get me wrong if they dont play good you should correct them but still, music is for everyonez
I’m a clarinet player learning alto, and in class I sit next to this other clarinet player who basically just sits there and plays “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine” the entire time 😭
in my school we have 5 sax players. this is how it goes, 1st chair - "im better than all of you" (he plays robotically), 2nd chair - "im louder than you" (she is literally the voice of the 1st altos, 3rd chair - "idk" (he plays so quiet sometimes i gotta wonder wheres at in the music), 4th chair - "too much" (I play too many instruments and sax being my main, im only 2nd alto most songs but im the one to not practice and still sound decent.), 5th chair - "noob" (he is new at band stuff but hes improved dramatically)
I can’t help it- when I first learned vibrato my teacher told me to just do it all of the time to get better at it and now I can’t even tell if I’m doing it or not 😭
Pov me a clarinet player who's just put their clarinet away after playing carless whisper for 30 minutes straight trying to perfect it to impress the saxophone players
I used to have a peer in band on alto that would play careless whisper every single second he got. Band director just stopped talking? Plays careless whisper, done with a song? plays careless whisper, you breath? plays careless whisper. idk if he was tryna rizz someone up, but I about took his sax a couple times lol
Now i'm so glad i didnt pick up the sax cause i would 100% be the "not enough vibrato" person and try to play Careless Whisper at the drop of a hat lmao 😂
I'm all of those but I played bass clarinet. once I started playing tenor I just got worse. but never played alto. haha. the guitar and I just jam all the time he's a Jr & I'm a freshmen so it's was the coolest thing when I showed up haha
The careless whisper fr, I been playing for a while but I'm still a beginner and everyone just asks can you play careless whisper? I describe it as an illegal piece of music for my sax
Abou dynamical type, I agree.. but there's the thing - those saxophonists that always complains about anything louder can't themselves play louder when they have to. That's usually the thing.
the only reason i know how to play Carless Whisper is cause one of my guy friends wanted to ask out their crush and asked me to play it if/when she said yes lmao 😂 proud sax moment ngl
I used to be the third one. My director threatened to put up a “careless whisper free zone” sign in the band room and he gave me ideas of other things to play. He recommended Never Gonna Give You Up and I started playing it and he whispered to someone “I taught her that.” It was really funny and i ended up obnoxiously squeaking lol
@@wildlightship Oh, are we playing musical Jeopardy? I'll play! I'll play! The word is "trombone." Name a useless instrument! Name an instrument that makes fart sounds! Name an instrument that dropout trumpet players play!
