I love the longer ending cimamatics. Makes it easier to get an overview of the whole thing and really see the details and it fits in with the rest of the city:)
What the dramatic cinematics there are! They give you the feel of a recently redesigned industrial area into the public city spaces and things like that.
Wow, I had no idea Sister Cities Park was built on top of a sewage overflow! Learning stuff I didn't know about lol. 2 questions: 1) Have you thought about doing something inspired by Uncle Harvey's Mausoleum? Its that little sunken building out in the water just off canal park, lots of people walk over to it when the lake's frozen. 2) How different are you finding it so far building Amaranth Bay compared to Todos Santos, not just in the change of architecture and environment, but also how Amaranth's real-life counterpart is much less dense, much smaller in population/size and planned way differently?
I have that building on my to-do list, but haven't actually built it yet. Such a weird building haha. I think the biggest difference is size. With TS I had the freedom to just expand with endless relatively dense neighborhoods wherever I wanted, but here I kinda have to pace myself more. It's easier to focus on details though, which is nice.
I hear the trams are still going at it..... Great video, as always. By the way, the heating service still gets used (esp. during night), even if you dont play on a winter map. It will reduce electricity demand!
I'm glad you liked it! I can't say I've ever seen a CS video of somewhere I've spent much time, other than the usual NY/LA builds which is a little different.
Absolutely love this project, Hope you finish it just like todos santos!, I noticed one thing when you placed down paths 5:05, you can use node controller and use free form to adjust the end of the path to connect to the pavement perfectly, saves alot of time, if you didn't already know about this!
Hi, I’m curious if you’ve tried the method that Akruas uses for parking lots? He uses curbless roads on the sides, and fills in the middle with some sort of surface that acts as void before putting down an asphalt plane procedural object to fill in the middle.
Not rude, it's a public video so you're welcome to critique. I can see why it might sound unusual, but there are a couple townships in the region (both in Canada) with the same name so I thought it wasn't too out of place. Thanks for watching✌
