If you have quite a big outline around your paper then you’re probably put it on too much mod podge she shouldn’t have too much of an outline to blend in better you can take some of the paint colour from the background and paint over that up in to The lettering and that will blend in better
Awesome projects! When I was younger my mom used to do so much decoupage, she'd paint over the graphic (usually a magazine clipping or wrapping paper image) several times and then she's wet the paper on back and rub off and glue the image to plaster discs for jewelry etc.
🎃👻💀 This turned out super cute! Your very talented and creative! I have been making lots of Halloween Themed items on my channel too. I just love this time of year! Keep the great videos coming!! 🎃👻💀
I really like the book idea! I think it would be really fun and interesting to make a creepy Halloween decor scene on the inside and let the book stand open!
Loved it all, such great ideas, AGAIN!! I wish Halloween was a longer holiday, so much work for just one day! I really admire how you make all your projects so easily to achieve. I get my exercise from watching your videos; as soon as I see your video on them I either add them to my already long list of DIY’s or I run to my craft room and put it together. Shows how much you inspire your audience! Tonight I’m going to attempt to use your recipe for clay!! I found four recipes but I like yours the best. Wish me luck!
That’s so awesome glad you’re enjoying all of my videos yes I get overwhelmed sometimes with all these DIY’s and not knowing what direction to go to and what to make next hope you had good success with your air dry clay
I made the clay, but clean up was a chore. Mixing it was reminiscent of pate’ a choux! Glad you told us to expect lumps, I had plenty so I used a fork and potato masher to dissolve them at first. That went away after more cooking. After cooking, I kneaded it a little and it felt rubbery, don’t know if that’s normal. I put it into an empty, cleaned lotion container. I did try rolling out a piece, was so excited I couldn’t wait and it softened a bit. It got harder but after massaging it it broke down and I made a small rope. Dried it overnight but haven’t checked it yet. Excited to see how it performs.
So I’ve worked with your clay for a while now. It’s still pliable from being in the jar, goes into molds just fine. What I’m seeing is a lot of shrinkage after drying, don’t know if that’s normal. And you can’t freeform it too thin, has to be fairly thick and evenly distributed. It paints ok, feels more like plastic than clay when dried. I’ll use it till it’s gone and if I haven’t mastered it by then I’ll have to go back to buying clay. But in a pinch it’s great to have the recipe.
virtually every holiday is a 1 day holiday! the way to combat that is to plan ahead and decorate early, just like you do for Christmas...which is also a 1 day holiday.
These were really neat ideas! I really need to get a laser jet printer so I can do fun projects like this and others you’ve featured on your channel. ☺️
Hi Deidra! Would you please list the thin printer paper you use for your laser printer? I would like to print on thin paper, too, but not sure which one to buy. Thank you:>
Diedra, I have tried twice to do the reverse mod podge method on ceramic tiles to make coasters with a fail. When I rub off; the whole graphic lifts off the tile. Any suggestions for pre-treatment for ceramic tile? I loved the spooky video so professional and yet fun!
If you’re trying to do this on ceramic tile you have to prime the tile first with a spray paint and then paint the chalk paint on top of it otherwise as soon as you introduced to water it will lift hope that helps
I have a brother LaserJet printer that I’ve had for almost 5 years I don’t even think they make that model anymore but it has worked excellent for me and I’ve never had any problems
A few of these projects are from last year yes but I have so many new followers I am sharing them again because I have not seen them thanks for watching Karen
