Amazing video, love the fact that Alex joined in on the fun! I also want to say a massive thank you to you two, because something clicked in my head a couple months ago so I bought myself some fishing poles (feeder/carp types), and on my second serious day of fishing, among multiple 3 - 6 lbs commons, I caught my first 20 lbs grass carp, the fight was awesome and the thrill is definitely something. I want to say I owe you two pretty much everything for this new world you've opened up to me. From "how to set up rigs", "Knots", "best practices" and most of all the positive energy you always spread. And I'm sure there are a lot of other people you have inspired that way. I hope you continue being so enthusiastic and energetic about fishing and what you do, and who knows, maybe someday I might meet you on one of your European trips around the eastern parts of the continent and thank you in person. Much love!
Hello Jordan, thank you for sharing that. That's amazing :) So happy the channel has helped and that you've found a new passion in fishing, you're doing great too! Grassys are mega! Well done :) There's nothing like it... fishing can bring so much. Big love ❤️
Haha what a cracking video , so many laughs and great to see Carl and alex back together for a short trip . Well the forfeit didn't quite go to plan 😂😂
I swear I’ve never clicked on any RU-vid notification faster than this. I’m so glad to see both you and Alex in a video again together. Edit 1: only got through the first 6 minutes and the rig descriptions absolutely have cracked me up Carl. You never fail to put a smile on my face during your videos and always produce quality vids.
Excellent work! Everything you could ever hope to have in a video content. I just love the fact that this video had all bonding with friends kind of vibe and that brotherly loving support. Set was very warming and insane tbh. Every moment was captured perfectly. Well done lads! Alex's cooking is by far better than Gordon Ramsey's. lmao
That was amazing!!!! Thank you. Never seen such big fish Good to see you all had fun,,,, making it look so easy. But, sure looked heavy to hold. Beautiful lakes
Guys, that was a wicked video and great adventure! Quite a few of those fish would 'make' a session on their own, so to have so many on the bank was amazing. More than anything the fun you clearly all had shone through and I felt like we were there for every step. Thanks so much.
Amazing Carl , looked like a trip that you will never forget . Well done on all the fish caught by the lads . I need to sort out a trip like this myself but off the beach .
Awesome video Carl. It looks like you all had an amazing time there. I genuinely belly laughed when they pushed you in at the end, who needs enemies with friends like that eh. 🤣🤣🤣
I totally buzz off you two ,.ya remind me of what me and mi spars were like from an early age "5 or 6" years old, and the bug, "no addiction " ! Never leaves ya, I'm now 50 and I love seeing two well clued up, passionate young lads smashin it!!
I came across the thinking tackle podcast randomly, whilst trying to find something to sleep to - easy listening. And found myself listening to you on the show which led me to search your videos on here. No fishing experience whatsoever and honestly had no real interest but you’ve kind of got me hooked mate. Fair play to ya, amazing cinematography too! 10/10
Wow thank you for sharing. Really appreciate it Gavin. Pleased it was easy to listen to and calming. That's so cool to hear. Happy you found a new interest! All the best. C
The fish that baffled ya, was a big crusion carp, the British record is only just under 5lbs, so in reality that was a good fish, shame you didn't weigh it !! Top video as always boys!!
Another great video! On a side note: Alex needs to open his own restaurant! That boy can shop (or forage) for ingredients, prep and cook a meal with the best of them!
Great to see your amazing videos you allways inspire me to fish for so many different species you guys are amazing and I hope that everything goes well for you keep it up love your vids
17:07 In Germany the fish is called "Giebel". You are right, it´s a prussion carp ;) Nice to see you two again! It was a great video! Was the prank at the end planned? Cause you could have your phone with you...
Outstanding job! Without question carp are first class fighters. I've only met a few guys from the UK who've come to the US who were fisherman, but those that were loved carp fishing. Over here by and large carp are not game fish in most states and not considered good table fare. In fact in many areas they're considered 'Trash' fish. Officially they fall under the catagory of 'Rough' fish. That means where I live there is no season or limit. You can catch as many as you want year around. Truth be told must people who go after carp here do so with bows & arrows. It's called bow fishing and it's essentialy an arrow with a harpoon on the end of it. I'm certain I've 'shot' more carp than I've caught with rod and reel. But that's the great thing about the fishing fraternity, in that there is more than one way to enjoy it. In the end it's about the challenge, the fellowship and the enjoyment of the outdoors and a day or night on the water. Great video! Keep them coming!
I confirm that the unknown fish at the beginning is a Prussian Carp. We have them in France as well. They're a bit similar to carps but the mouth looks more like a big Roach kinda, not exactly. They grow bigger than roaches but far from how big carps can be. The pumpkin seed fish is an invasive species in France and we're not allowed to put them back in the water. They compete with roaches and other freshwater white fish. Actually catfish (not the ones in this video, the small ones that sting) are also invasive here. I don't know about that fish phone though, they're usually more common in stores and supermarkets. :) Great video, it was very entertaining. Can't wait for the next one. :)
Cracking video!! These kind of videos have given me an incentive of what European fishing is like and the fish some of the lakes hold Great video as always Carl 🎣🎣
Great to see you two brothers at it again. can see the genuine happiness and love between the pair of you again. sometimes, less is more! both you doing your own things makes trips like this more special Great work lads
Absolutely brilliant. Glad to see you both back fishing again. Had me laughing most the way through it..Best fishing video I've seen for a long while...Alex's cooking looked bang on aswell...
@@fishwithcarl it does before the morning coffee, great content mate. You’re the reason I’ve managed to get my gear back out after my dad passed away just over a year ago, so thank you. Keep it up.
Awesome video Carl. Fished Carpinsulas Mint pool & Dino pool last year. Awesome place, awesome fish, awesome fishing. Untouchable nature and a legend of an owner 🔥 Going back to fish Belly pool as soon as posible. Keep up the good work 👏
Omg what is this!!!!!One of the best late night videos iv ever watched I swear this video was top g this deservers #1 on trending seriously one of the best videos ever thanks to all the staff there putting hard work and effort and time into the video but it's not for the channel it's for great memories and more to come much love from south Africa.❤️❤️
Hi Carl. Ive been enjoying yours and yours and your brothers videos for a while now. I've just watched your podcast with korda and it struck a chord with me. You said in it that at some stage, people think what is their legacy and what can they leave behind. I recently started my channel and to be honest, I think it's more so that I, and others who know me, have a video log of me, and my friends enjoying themselves while fishing. I started it thinking people would enjoy the content but it isn't the case and it is just for me and people i know really, although I do hope others still enjoy it, so thanks, it was very insightful. Good luck for the future, Mark 👍👍
Great video . We do get crucian carp in the UK we used to catch them in a small village pond when we were kids in the 70s which also had golden orfe and crucian x golden orfe in it which all used to fight like hell for small fish
That fish you believed to be a crucian, is called a "Giebel" in dutch. Giebels are like a mixture of goldfish and crucian as far as I know. Very nice fish! Someone once told me a Giebel + a carp = an F1
42 minutes just fly away! Amazing video! Amazing fishing, amazing weather, amazing nature and of corse amazing friendship!! Congrats to everyone! Now i can't wait for the USA video!!!
I've bin away for a while, missed a few vids I haven't caught yet but I picked an awesome episode to come back on, this was one of the most entertaining episodes I've watched here good job guys, nice to see you bros back together
Awesome stuff and beautifully shot film. When I do multi species in West Virginia, I usually go for Smallmouth bass, Largemouth/spotted bass, Walleye, and Trout!
