@@Cool_smiley Loki hasn't been delayed it was originally supposed to be summer this year and it's according to Owen Wilson either end of summer or September which falls into the original timeframe. If anything secret invasion might have been delayed since that was supposed to be early this year but that just leaves next month before it's mid-2023 and they just recently announced that it will release June 21st which is the first day of summer so that missed it's early-2023/spring release but Loki is still on schedule
My personal saddest one is Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer's end credit scene that teases the return of the Silver Surfer that absolutely led to a reboot.
Unless it's a mordo from yet another earth we won't. "our" mordo is actually dead. Wanda killed him off screen just before the events of multiverse. Yeah I know I was disappointed too when I learned that
Let’s not forget Lex Luthor meeting Deathstroke at the end of Justice League (both versions). In the theatrical cut, it was setting up a sequel where they form a Legion of Doom, but nothing has ever come of that since. In the Snyder Cut, Lex tells Deathstroke Batman’s secret identity, which was supposed to lead in to The Batman, starring and directed by Ben Affleck. Since The Batman was reworked into the Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson movie that has nothing to do with the DCEU, nothing of that post credits scene comes up ever again either
But that’s why it’s a wasted end credit scene. We don’t see it happen. With every other end credit scene, we see what it teases come to fruition. With the Mordo tease you’d think Doctor Strange 2 would involve Strange finding out Mordo has gone off the rails with trying to destroy the sorcerers and will now have to face him as enemies. But they skipped over it and just passed it off as dialogue. I’m sure we might see the main Mordo return, but it won’t involve Doctor Strange discovering his crimes and coming to terms with who Mordo has become.
No, it was scrapped because James Gunn wanted to do a fresh reboot of the dc universe. It literally was bad timing. The moving came out , James Gunn took over and that was the end of that. It never stood a chance for a sequel to happen
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" Introducing Scorpion who wants to know Spider-Man's identity for revenge. Went nowhere because "The Greatest Marvel Movie of All Time" showed Strange memory wiping the entire planet.
Not a post credit scene but here’s a wasted one: Mr Blue in The Incredible Hulk, he got Bruce’s blood in him and his head started to change, nothing else about it ever again
Bro we're getting an Amazing Spiderman 3. 616's Adrian Toombes was transported to The Amazing Spiderman universe, where he emerged in a jail cell, but was innocent of any crime in that universe, so was set free. He then met with Morbius, and they agreed to work together to form The Sinister Six.
@@captainblorgus2515 he is. The graffiti of Spiderman with the word "Murderer" over it, The Amazing Spiderman saying how he stopped pulling his punches after Gwen. It all adds up.
The one that made me extremely sad was the Deathstroke and Lex Luthor post credit scene in Justice League. Such a perfect casting for Slade, but we'll never get it unless they recast him for the James Gunn uni.
another thing about Mordo, Doctor Strange in multiverse of madness mentions briefly that 'his' mordo is hell bent on destroying all sorcerers but that's all we get
Just like with Darkseid in a JL2 (JL Dark: Apokolyps War), you can see Black Adam vs SuperMan AND Shazam in their own animated movie…maybe not the same, but better than nothing!
I'm still holding out hope that the next Doctor Strange movie will be something reminiscent of The Wolverine where Mordo takes Strange's magic and forces him to rely on his intellect and cunning to win.
Cant forget the Homecoming post-credit scene with Scorpion and Vulture in prison talking about bringing together a team to take down Spider-Man...havent seen anything leading up to an MCU Sinister Six!
Everybody has forgotten The Incredible Hulk's post-credit scene in which Tony talks to Ross about starting the Avangers to chase down the Hulk, clearly was changed to Loki being the main villain 😅
The entire homecoming triology happened between the 2 doctor strange movies, likely because they knew the first movie after endgame was likely gonna make a lot of money and again milked out Tobey and Andrew Garfield's appearance in the third.
Red Herrings are classic storytelling tropes. It has been revealed to RU-vidrs such. Contractual ego tripping prevented anymore development with Black Adam. Actor Dwayne Johnson can never lose! He and Henry Cavill considered their physique and brand separated their performances. Further appearances would have featured them struggling with muscle suited players and pretending to be challenged or even defeated.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage post credits scene didn’t lead to anything. Venom and Eddie were teleported to the MCU, and it was teasing that he’d face off against Tom Holland’s Spiderman. However, they never got to meet any of the Peter Parkers and got teleported back after just sitting at a bar.
He attempted to get the Power stone, but that blew up in his face (literally.) Then Thanos got them, then the Collector hasn’t been seen since. He did sell Knowhere to the Guardians though so he may be gone for good.
@@mattheffelfinger8263 I'm talking about the dark world post credit scene what I'm talking about was when he got the reality stone they made out like he was going to collect all infinity stones but then after that we never saw him again except when Thanos killed him so he was kinda left in the trash
@@charvicbrabante That's literally a follow up though. Scene 1 he tries to get Power Stone. Scene 2 he gets reality stone. Scene 3 Thanos takes them. We don't need 30 minutes of the Collector when he served his purpose by collecting two stones and Thanos taking them.
The thing is, back when Multiverse Of Madness had a different Director, there was a rumour that Dr. Strange would fight the character "Nightmare" (Eva Green) and that his comrades in arms would be Dr. Druid (Bruce Campbell) and Brother Voodoo (Daveed Diggs). A character that has dreadlocks. So Sam Raimi replaced Voodoo with Mordo, but left the dreadlocks! (and they shit on Bruce Campbell!) 🤔
I really hated when they do this with MCU movies and specially DCEU. There are still many more post credit scene that never really when nowhere. Like the post credit scene from Spider-Man Homecoming. Where Scorpion gets introduced. Hopefully we get to see him in Spider-Man 4.
The post credit scene of Dr Strange actually continued to MOM in the opening scene but it was cut. So originally MOM should start with Mordo hunted witches and magic users but he ended up meeting Scarlet Witch and Scarlet Witch killed her.
Wanda actually mentions the fact the mordo tried to take away her magic from her. For a brief line she mentions the fact that she fought him when she confronts Dr Strange
There also green lantern's post credit scene when senestro became yellow lantern and be the villain in the sequel and in fantastic four 2 when silver surfer showed still a live
Mordo is not a top 3 wasted post credit scene, because he is still alive, he can still come back in the future and the post credit scene explains why he will be seen in the future as a villain and why doctor strange called him a villain or something like that. You could've said sinestro in green lantern or something that is out the table.
