Great racing Josh! Impressive how you stopped after getting blasted with mud and then caught back up so quick. Loved the battle with Tracon coming out of pits, EPIC! Once you guys hit the main roads I thought it was cool how you held your lines in case Tracon made a pass. Great video!
I wonder if for Josh, at his speed, and the way they had this course this year, if the 450 would have been a greater benefit with the straight line stability at speeds over the lighter and twitchier 300? I know they have run the race through more technical areas in the past, and I can see the benefit of the 300 in the more technical sections - with this race though, there were a lot of straight line high speed sections throughout the loop. Cool video, great race - thank you for sharing!
Josh, is this course the same year over year? Do you know what is coming up as you ride? That is high consequence riding in high consequence terrain.......
Josh im doing the Christmas classic in CA in December. What tires and gear ratio would you use or do you use with these desert races? I am currently running Michelin Medium Enduros. Any advice would be appreciated. Awesome run!
Always in awe of how you guys can ride like that in dust at those speeds without getting the handlebars ripped out of your hands. Do you run a stabilizer/damper? I never see one on the bike but it might be out of view.
Another great race! I was thinking that I wish those dirtbikes have speedometers, then noticed it does have one, but doesn't work. Would have been great to see your speed.
Awesome pass at the 47min mark, fall away outside corner into the wash and on the gas to make the pass! The other guy fell into the wash right after you but you held the fast line! If you guys are ever in MOAB lets ride! You got a place to stay here!
What handle bars do you run? I purchased a 2022 Sherco SE250 for my daughter. I have ridden it and the bars seem low. I would be interested to know what your bar setup is.
Wow, what a ride. I could never do that in a million years, I would be dead tired after 20 minutes. I rode mx bikes for 15 years when I was younger, from the time I was 15 until I was about 30, and we only rode at small gravel pits, and once in a while the ORV park in St louis called St. Joe state park. We would do a hard ride for about 20 minutes, then head back to the truck for a soda and a break. We did ride all day, but we took a lot of breaks. What you do here is beyond my fitness level. I would love to ride that area, just a little of it at a time. Hats off to you brother, you must be in the shape of a soccer player.
Man you made that look easy! Your so fast you blew the stickers off the front fender. The line you had at the start was awesome! That was a great choice. How did you finish? One more question, are you still using the RM tires?
I love your video. It’s exiting to watch. I notice other rider video had the speedometer on one corner of the screen. I wish that you have it too. That gives watcher how fast you are Going.
Such a rush to ride like that ! Was a motocrosser but have been riding off road and Desert and it is a rush. Great conditions from the rain but actually the rocks get worse after good downpours...no dust though 😁
I thought the same while noticing so much high speed terrain. Not so in D37, maybe a couple but not so much high speed single track as seems to be here. Used to belong to the 4 Aces. This was a great race to watch. How often do we get to see riders in front of Josh? Much more interesting although I thoroughly enjoy Josh's races. Oh, I just read dysena11's comment. Makes sense.
Raced many D37 H&H’s in my time, only double track I can remember is the ones we crossed, used to wish for for some smooth stuff so I could catch my breath. BTW, does this video seem a bit unrealistically fast? Play it back at 90% and it looks a little more convincing.
@@raced3786 I luckily found Josh's races about 5-6 years ago. Have thoroughly enjoyed following along with him in each race. I always find my focus is on the upcoming terrain and choosing the best line as if I am the one behind the bars. Maybe everyone does the same. You should go back and watch his 2018 and up Rhino Rallys. This is the first year he has not won the event in at least 4 years that I know of. I've thought of sending a note to Josh about his bike choice. Because I have recently reviewed his past Rhino Rallys it seems to me his speed and flow was considerably better in the past on his 450. But I know he didn't race much last year. And, 2nd place is always more motivated to improve....as Corbin has done. As far as playback speed goes, I highly doubt Josh would alter that. If you've followed along with Josh for any length of time, well, my opinion is he has the highest integrity. You can also go to Corbin Mcpherson's channel. He doesn't upload anymore but you can see last years race and battle with Josh and compare the playback speed there. Also, as with Kurt Casselli's races they actually made a subtitle that the playback was not altered on some of his videos. Talk about insane speed! Best!
