Just to add to the feyenoord title win. That summer they sold their best players and made €70mill. He then bought in 17 players for a spend of €30mill and won the title with them 👏🏻

@@nonnayoubuzinnes1669if you did enough research, you would know that psv has almost a perfect season. Feyenoord is better this season compared to last season, if you look at the number of points. If Feyenoord wins the last three matches, they will end on 84 points in 34 matches. Normally speaking you will be champions with that amount.

Compliments to being spot on with Arne Slot's history and recent work he has done, details were spot on from the guy in the grey shirt. Good research. The thing i personaly dont like about ( mostly ) English analyst's and RU-vidr's is not being able to realize what he has done with AZ and Feyenoord is actually really really really good. I mean it in the sense of saying that reaching the Conference League final is not really impressive '' because that is not wat Liverpool is aiming for ''. I mean comparing a team ( Feyenoord ) with mostly loan players or players worth around 1 to 10 mil at the time, to a team ( Liverpool ) that can affort players like Mo and Van Dijk. He well overperformed with every team he worked with, while having '' bad '' material. Now imagine what he can do with good material. Plus it is a good thing imo that Liverpool went for a '' new '' coach and didn't hold on to the usual suspects coach's wise. I am sure as long as the players will respect Arne and his vision, with Van Dijk being the translator and captain in the dressing room and on the field, then this is going to be a great fit. Arne's english is good, he can handle dutch press so the english press wont be problem, no crazy behaviors like Van Gaal at the side-line because he only cares about football and football only. I am sad to see him leave my club and hope he wont take Hancko, Geertruida or/and Wieffer with him, but i am really stoked to see what he is going to do at Liverpool and hope he will give Dutch coaches a good name again.

For Once I think Liverpool made the right appointment in. Man's a talented modern football coach and he's being downplayed by the media which means he can concentrate on his duties even more. A smart tactical manager is all LFC needs

Bowen turns 28 in December and signed a 7 year contract extension the summer. And knowing West Ham they are wanting £60m, minimum. If I did my research right, the number of players older than 27 who have cost £60m or more from the last decade in order of most expensive: Griezmann, Hazard, Kane, Higuain, Suarez, Casemiro and Zlatan. And Bowen is nowhere close to the talent of these guys. If he flops, you are stuck with him. For that price, he has to be young or a world-class player. Plus, he has quite a bit of mileage on those bow (en) legs.

Klopp had a cl final under his belt and beat a juggernaut bayern to league who won multiple years in a row and after he left proceeded to win alot . Klopps CV on paper was alot more impressive

Really excited about what Slot will do at Liverpool. I think he backs himself enough that taking over from Klopp won't faze him, and it looks like he has all the characteristics Liverpool needs in a manager/first-team coach to keep on challenging, although I wouldn't expect much beyond a top 4 finish in his first season at Anfield

If Liverpool could get £100m for Salah they should take it rather than lose him for nothing. Johan Bakayoko, Rayan Aït-Nouri as Salah and Tsinkias replacements with someone who knows slot and in the last year of their contract Lutsharel Geertruida also would be a good move and you could get them all for the Salah sale. Other deadwood like Phillips, Tsimikas and then free transfers in Matip and Thaigo save so mich money on the books aswell and would free up some cash for a true 6 like a Zubimendi.

Minor correction: when Feyenoord won the League in 2017, Giovanni van Bronckhorst was the head coach. Dick Advocaat assisted him at the beginning of his Feyenoord career. Advocaat was also Feyenoord's last head coach before Arne Slot

Agree with the perspective and options for Liverpool at the back but definitely surprised you guys missed 2 of Liverpool's young midfield players especially with that Adam Wharton shout. Stefan Bajcetic and Tyler Morton could and should get an opportunity to fill the role at DM. Looking forward to the Slot era at Liverpool.

He would never bought Antony 😉Arne is a great trainer but also a great human investing in people and making players better. He has done his work at our club Feyenoord with zero budget. He will fir very well at Liverpool a club and city with the same mentality as Rotterdam and Feyenoord, he doesn’t please fans , he is honest about what he wants and I think that will be well respect by Liverpool fans too. And no worry, ETH accent is a exception in NL, Arne’s English is very goog

Seems like Michael Edwards have choosen willian pacho as the vvd successer . Left footed very fassst cb , is very good 1vs1 defender in wide area , ariel monster and last man defender like vvd who doesn't go to ground often .

Great chat. Subscribed. Bowen is a good shout. His xG-P in a defensive team is very high. But West Ham are going to want £80 M. Liverpool are not spending that for a 27 yo. Liverpool have a promising 19 yo for a DM so I'm not sure they would go Wharton. But definitely need a plug and play to DM replacement for Endo. His duel stats are horrific. Doucoure is very one-footed for the £70 M they asked last year. Hjulmand and Varela in Portugal may be better value.

if salah goes i don’t think we’d sign a right winger cus the options aren’t worth the money or risk. I can see us playing elliott and szobozslai on that right side of midfield and they can just interchange in games. There’s also trent at right back so i can see a system where the 3 of them just rotate completely cus szobozslai has looked good defensively and is rapid so he could drop into right back for trent to push higher and wider to get a cross in to nunez and gakpo with height in the box

They're far morel likely to pay £30-40m for Summerville than £70-£80m for Bowen At this point, Bowen is a target that lacks imagination. Liverpool very rarely go for the obvious choice, hence why we've even signed Slot going forward to begin wtih

Dougie read his Wikipedia, had a look on the Analyst, and tried to pass it off like he'd actually watched a lot of Feyenoord. His style of football is a massive departure from Klopp, Amorim's style of football is much more similar. Only silly people think formations dictate how a team plays.

Think liverpool need fixing? Think they've bounced back from a poor season really well and coming in 3rd behind two very good teams. But okay 👍 You think with salah he won't have a similar value if liverpool extend his contract for 1 year and come to sell him next summer at the age of 32? 😅 Come on now. Also we have Diaz and Jota who can play RW so we could look at Nunez or Gakpo left and bring in another CF or LW giving you much more options... Between Tyler Morton, Bajetic and Endo, I don't see a rush to buy a 6. CB and a forward more important for me.

he’s taking on a bigger role than klopp was? wtf lol. This team is fresh out of a title race with a relatively young squad and they both have the same sporting director. Apparently slot won’t really have a say on signings, he’ll describe the players he wants then michael edwards will be in charge of who they sign so it’s very much not a harder role than klopp it’s much easier. In terms of signings they won’t be bringing in as many good ones but if u offered and manager the chance to have alisson, trent, van dijk, robertson, mac allister next season they’d be over the moon

People over hyping Slot. Not only have Feyenoord slid backwards this season but his personality isn't right for Liverpool. He lost his focus at az alkmaar and got sacked as he was desperate to leave for Feyenoord. Klopp would never have treated Dortmund or Liverpool like that. I don't like him saying he wants the Liverpool job either, nothing is signed off, disrespectful to us and his current club. Also hearing he isn't very emotional, after Klopp that will be fatal. The only way he will survive will be if he hits the ground running, because if he doesn't he won't last 5 minutes, Liverpool has an unsupportive fanbase these days with the gloryhunters on board.

As a Liverpool fan I’d take the 75/80 mil psg are willing to pay for Diaz, loved him pre injury but his out put just isn’t consistent enough. And do not get me started on Nunez, that Newcastle game has lulled fans into the biggest false sense of security, he has lost us points more than he has won! Edwards would never have signed him, especially not for 75 million.

The revisionist history with Liverpool ‘ overperforming expectations ‘ this season is ridiculous dropped another big amount of money in the window yes it was needed but of course they were gonna challenge they’ve bottled it we can’t act like just because they have poorly recruited injury prone depth doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be aiming for the title it’s interesting how Liverpool always get the benefit of the doubt maybe it’s cause their up against city but really should be more heat on some of the recent Liverpool players performances

What big amount of money?? Liverpool have the 9th biggest net spend since Klopp came in and lost 9 players this summer with only 4 coming in, all bargains especially Endo. As it stands they will finish 3rd with a trophy. Now justify where MU and Chelsea will finish after what they spent?? Even Arsenal who spent £100 million on one player could end up with nothing this season.

Ur 9th in the league cause Liverpool started further back initially since being top 4 regulars ur 5th I think obviously you have better recruiting then united Chelsea and Arsenal no doubt and you spend less than city but you can’t not expect this team to fight for the league every year to just be ok with third every year when we shit on other teams for stagnating is crazy. This year has been a failure for Liverpool, you can’t have it both ways, you can’t say oh klopp leaving will gives us the emotion and we’re favourites to win the league then bottle it and say oh it’s fine we weren’t expected to challenge
