If you plug in an adapter and a wireless or wired mouse into the adapter you should be able to control your phone through the mouse therefore being able to press the power off button if you have a Samsung this adapter is included in the Box if not you can buy some online
Er Hello, in a video about fixing an inoperative touchscreen, why are you using the touchscreen button? I did most of this stuff with Start and Volume up/down buttons but stopped short of the factory wipe of all data. I then used an old trick for getting a few minutes use from old dead hard-drives, I zipped the phone into a sandwich bag and put it in the freezer overnight. This brought it back to life for a few minutes while I salvaged pictures and videos etc. Then I figured the phone was a brick anyway so I tried taking it to bits. I started by scoring around the edge of the screen trying to work out how to gently pry it open, and to my amazement it came back to life for a few seconds. So I ran the tip of the knife around the screen again (digging out a lot of grime). This time it came back to life for longer. I tried a 3rd time and it came fully back to functionality and has been working fine ever since. Amazing, unexplainable but true.
the title should be ' How to Fix Samsung Touch Screen Not Working if the touchscreen still works' ! None of those 3 tips are doable if the Touchscreen is not working. Great help, many thanks for nothing
The first 2 methods shown in this video for fixing a Samsung with a non-responsive touch screen. . .depict using the touch screen to power down the phone. I know it can be powered down by simply removing the battery, but the video doesn't mention that. This seems like such a fundamental misunderstanding that I'm reluctant to even consider the third suggested method that involves installing apps on my desktop computer.

I don't know if it would have let me fix my phone's unresponsive touch screen (that phone is long gone now), but I'm glad to know it can be done.

If your screen is not working all you have to do is hold down the power button and the volume down button and your phone will automatically restart without having to touch the screen You're welcome 😁

Hi Dean Larkins. Touch screen not working is caused by many reasons such as software issues, hardware issues, system issues. If it is caused by software or system issues, you can try these 3 tips to fix it. But if it is caused by hardware issue, you need to go to repair shop to check if your screen is broken and consider changing to a new one.
It doesn't matter what cause the touch screen to be inoperative. If the touch screen is not responsive meaning it does not work. How am I supposed to hit a virtual button on the touch screen?
To anyone watching this and say "But I can't restart because the touch doesn't work". My phone was doing the same thing. I lightly dropped it flat on the back side a few times. This is caused by a loose connection for the screen. The light drops ( 4 or 5 inches) shake the cable and let it connect again.
Guys just hold ur volume down key and power off button ur phone will turn off itself without touching the screen do i held mine for 20secs and it worked hope this helps
These aren't fixes. Why is the screen freezing in the first place? If you can stop that from happening then you genuinely have a fix. Until then, you are just showing someone how to restart a phone - which is a temporary workaround.
I’ve trying but can’t work for free , almost $40 to just use it one times repair????? You don’t know another app can install the firmware for a cheap or free?????
