Hello dear, for three weeks I've been using breast pump,I tried to put the nipples in my baby's mouth when it's a little bit out,but during the process,it becomes flat again. I will get this nipples shield and prays it works, cos I find the pumping stressful. Thanks for the video
Awww I understand you 💯 Same thing happened to me. Get the shield, put liquid (Water/breastmilk) around the silicone end. It might help it stick better on the breast. Baby will keep sucking on it and it will work I used it
I have a seven weeks baby but i have a flat nipples and am failing to breastfeed my baby and the most painful one isvthat my breast milk is know coming very small like 1 ml when i pump is manually so please help me what should I do?
Sorry to hear that, You need to pump more often, you pump as though it’s baby that’s eating so your body makes more milk. That means pumping 6x a day or so and you need to pump for good duration of time 30mins roughly Hydration is key, breastmilk is predominantly water if you are not hydrated enough you can’t produce much. And eat good food that stimulates more milk production I.e. Oat In regards to the flat nipple, if you really want to breastfeed directly I will say keep trying and trying even see a specialist. Also try the nipple shield because it does work it can just be frustrating.
hello ma, am pregnant and I have flat nipple I have start bringing it out myself but I haven't seen any results. how long does it take for it to come out and is there anything I can do b4 the arrival of my baby. thanks
Hi I think you're doing the first necessary thing pulling it out yourself. The dilemma with a flat nipple is it doesn't stay pulled out. In my circumstances, my nipple is out now but it was after I pumped consistently with my boy for 6 months non stop. Now I don't really have the issue anymore. So I will say for anything you do, it got to be consistent over and over. I pump 7 times a day for 6 months
I have inverted nipples I tried so much to breastfeed my baby using d silicon nipple sheild,d syringe method it was -ve pumping was far better but it sagged my breast I just completely go back to formula pls wat did u use
Hi so sorry to hear you've tried alot of things and didn't work. I'm surprised pumping sagged your breast as that didn't happen to me. The one thing that really worked was the pump, maybe use the hand pump I used the tommee tippee one as well, it's temporarily but helps just for while helps to pull the nipple out and you can be able to breastfeed like that for a while but that won't last. As of now my nipple is out and all I did was electric pumping, even after 1year my nipple didn't go back in. If you don't want to pump at all keep trying to manually pull the nipple out everyday especially after warm shower/bath when your skin is soft. I hope this helps. X
Please what breast pump did you use, I really need a good one... My baby finds it difficult to feed enough directly from my flat nippled breast, and it makes her cry alot
Hello congratulations on the birth of your bday and sorry to hear you are having issues breastfeeding as you can see from the video the best thing to use is breast shield
I saw a video where a mother with short nipples managed to breastfeed OK , but I am not sure how small of flat a nipple has to be to be called inverted or flat .
It varies with everyone. Mine there was no separation between nipple and areola it was all one. It's different for me now after 6 months of exclusive pumping
@@maryonyekwere Glad to hear that Mary . Like you , alot of women have very little definition between the areola and this was the case in the latch on video I saw where the mother had quite big areolas but tiny flat nipples .Some other women hardly have any areolas even though they are supposed to get bigger and darker during pregnancy to allow for the baby having poor eyesight when they are newborns. It can also be a struggle when the mother has large breasts as well . I remember helping a poorly baby who was very hungry latch on and his mother had huge breasts and had these dark red areolas ( she was a white woman ) about 4 inches in diameter about the size of a saucer , but her nipple was about 2 inches long ! We are not all created equal !
I have inverted nipples I use breast pump but the milk I do get is not much but now if I use the pump milk is no longer coming out and my baby is just a month please what can I do and which of the breast pump you use manual or electric pls where can I get the nipples shield
If you are not secreting the milk by either breastfeeding or pumping the milk will be drying up. If pumping is what you want to do you need to do it constantly at least 7 times a day. I used both manual and electric. When I'm home and it's my pumping time I use an electric double so I get the work done faster. If I'm out and about, in the car and I need to pump quickly I use the Manual one. I love both types really
Hi I think what you can do is to start pulling it out yourself. When you are in the shower you can start cleaning your nipple and using your fingers to pull and shape it out. When you're pregnant and have access to a breast pump just on a low setting just start pimping it will help to start pulling the nipple gradually. Hope this helps.
I will say as much as possible. Okay in my case I end up pumping exclusively for 6 months and I will say from all those pumping 7 times a day that i did, it helped because my nipple has not inverted back in over a year now
