I recently started to fry pears. Only because they were not rope enough to eat. All I did was slice them thin, place them in a frying pan and fry till they were slightly caramelized on both sides. The heat activates the sugars even in a pear that isn't quite ripe. Apples are also great this way.
Thk you girls ..I wanted a simple recipe for my pears …and yes..they were amazing..I used a small titanium frying pan with a dome lid “ baked ‘ over a gas flame……good job!
