This video is about how to fish a Drop Shot. I give three basic ways to rig a drop shot and some insight on how I like to rig my baits terminally. Make sure you check out some of my other videos! ~B.Lat
I absolutely loved this video. You gave very detailed explanations to give more understanding. I also liked that you had underwater footage of each type of drop shot. Thanks Brian for the video. I look forward to more! 👍
Outstanding Brian. I learned a lot from you today with this video. Your dedication to the sport clearly shows thru. Much thanks for teaching us old timers something new and effective like this.
Just want to say that I’ve just recently subscribed to your channel. I love all of your vids, and love how you explain everything so well in such great detail. Thanks for the vids, and keep rockin!
Hands down the best presentation video of fishing I have ever seen. Just the right amount of talking with both underwater camera action and actual fishing. Well done. I am hitting the subscribe
Proud of you Brian, you are an inspiration to a lot of us black anglers( matter of fact all anglers) keep working hard and keep being the great person you are!!!!
Bro i look up your vids every year before my and my soon to be wife get back on our kayaks to sling bait. thank you for being such a great inspiration for me and i in turn pass on my knowldege to any angler that seeks to catch more. be blessed and bountiful!
Thank you for making such helpful videos! I've been taking my whole family bass fishing from the bank, and we've learned many techniques from you. We all cried watching you win that 100K. You deserved it!
Planning on trying this drop shot this weekend. I fish from a kayak on several ponds/small lakes that have grass bottoms and I think this would be the perfect way to suspend my baits just above the grass. Love the video.
First time I ever fished a drop shot rig I had a small Bass slam into the worm like a true heavyweight and I've been hooked on this finesse presentation ever since.
Thanks for your your vidio and tips. I am new to soft baiting and used your drop shot tips in salt water, had good results..... cheers from New Zealand mate
Love your channel ! Awsome content and very informational stuff! Just started a fishing RU-vid myself so best of luck to you and hope to see more stuff from you in the future!
Im 29 years old. Lived in Texas my whole life. Fished lots of lakes creeks and ponds around texas. Iv never once thrown a drop shot but id like to learn just to ad a technique to my arsenal. Great informational video b lat
Hi Brian, greetings from Canada. Just found your channel and I'm really enjoying your videos, very informative and professionally done. Thanks for taking the time to put these together.
Thank you so much for making this video easy to understand! I'm a 50+ woman who doesn't have anyone helping me learn how to fish. I've been fishing for 5 years now and am doing pretty well and am now catching 7 and 8 pound large mouth bass but I only know how to use weedless worms. Now I'm trying to venture out into drop shot, but a lot of the videos are so complicated to understand sooooo Thanks to you I finally understand it!!! Wish me luck. 👍
Great stuff! Tip: when nose hooking soft plastics.... screw in and counter sink a bait keeper before running the hook through the nose. One can also add a tiny drop of Gel super glue to the keeper as one is screwing it into place. Additionally, if the bait is a Z-Man bait, pierce the bait with the hook where you are going to screw in the baitkeeper. It's like pre drilling...makes adding baitkeepers a lot easier on Z-Man baits. I got these tips from Tacticalbassin. Would be great to see you guys fish together...congrats on the huge FLW win!
B lat your the best finesse angler there is . God has alot of great things coming to your family and you ....stay humble friend and keep grinding .god will do the rest
Hey Brian, thanks for making such informative videos. I fish from shore most of the time and in my kayak when it’s warm, and I like fishing the Potomac River around four mile run.
Hey Brian,You got another subscriber! Awesome job on the videos. I found your channel while searching for Chatterbait videos. From another Brian up in Canada!
good info. up here in the NE i run 8lb sx1 braid to 6lb tatshu floro leader sometimes even 4lb. this setup handles the biggest smallies on lake erie with ease
New to fishing. My coworker told me about wacky rigging but didn't tell me drop shooting helps make the lure look more realistic. Im def gonna give this a shot soon
@@pgm1970 everything my friend, large mouths will eat a wacky rigged senko, smallies too, smallies and perch will eat a nose hooked small swim bait, pretty much anything
Man, I’m so glad the last poster corrected himself, fishing is the only sport that truly has one type of person, and that is an ANGLER, it’s the only sport that truly is blind to gender, race, creed or political party affiliations. Your an inspiration to me due to your knowledge and skills. Thank you for your informative videos and I would love to start learning the best way to set my gear for drop shot fishing as far as gear set up. Thanks man! 🎣
At the community ponds (here in Central AZ) I take my trout rods out and fish a lightweight dropshot. A 3lb bass is pretty fun on an ultralight rod. Of course I know where to go with my big rods nearby too.
I use small hook and Texas rig set up, I like it because it's weedless, I like the super fluke white/blue, pumpkin and the keitech paddle tail 2 1/2 size, drop shotting is a deadly technique bass absolutely love it
Enjoyed listening to you and you are the first person I've ever heard talking about a complete set up using braid. Do you even use braid in clear water with this presentation?
Just found your channel, I love that you get to the point and don’t do the typical YOU TUBE talk! What would be wrong with using a ned rig or jig instead of a weight when drop shotting?
Great video, I'm just starting to use the drop shot haven't caught anything using it yet not sure how to retrieve it maybe you can do a video on that. Difficult to fish anything with weight because of slime, thanks for the video it helped to understand some of the things I've been doing incorrectly.
