I used to think people who lived out of town on back County highways and roads were complete losers, but now that I've been dealing with bad neighbors for years I can see the appeal of living away from other people.
I wish it wasn't so hard to pull off living out of town away from neighbors. I grew up rural, but the area I grew up in has extremely limited job opportunities so I had to move. It can also be more expensive to live out of town in many cases, for lots of different reasons.
My neighbor has harassed me for YEARS and I'm at the end of my rope! I've tried talking to the guy, I've tried killing him with kindness, and I've tried just outright ignoring it. Nothing works and I've had it. He yells at my kids for no reasons, talk crap to my wife, doesn't have the balls to say anything negative to me, throws trash in MY yard all the time, I suspect he may have poisoned and killed one of my dogs, and he constantly calls the cops on me for "failure to comply" violations. With the failure to comply stuff, I dont live in any type of home owners association so 90% of it doesn't stick. But still, it gets old getting police letters in the mail on a weekly basis just to serve as a reminder that my neighbor hates me. I have no idea what to do anymore. At this point I'm looking into legal action and hopefully that works but I'm not very optimistic with that option.
Before you spend money on a lawyer, I suggest you invest in a security camera and record your problem neighbor throwing trash in your yard. Then call the police and show them the evidence. They should cite him for a couple hundred bucks. Good luck!
My neighbour is both a bully and narcissist, he thinks he owns the street etc my run ins with him are when asking him politely to move his car when I have a delivery due for my house renovations one of his activities is mow grass in the alley - which I guess he thinks he owns - I for my part throw stones large and small into the alley on a regular basis makes for some shocking noises throughout the summer ; )
Bad neighbors are really a nightmare most specifically in those parts of the world where law and order is low and calling the police is not an option until one neighbor break other one's leg or neck, It has been one year since I moved to a new place and for one year I avoided my bully neighbor but things have started to get dirty
Ask another neighbor maybe? But I think this one is a little impossible. This requires a first time to meet or they might not be so accepting to reveal their numbers out in the open.
If you have a neighbor that doesnt respect where they should be parking tape over a few numbers on their car tag, they will eventually get have the headache of getting pulled over and if they dont have a good record and they possibly partake in recreational activities who knows they might not be a bad neighbor for long .
That is a great idea. Someone suggested hiding w.e.e.d. in the car and then smashing a tail light so they get pulled over, but your idea is even more subtle. Thanks for watching.
🤣 Be patient, stay polite with them, give them all the rope they want and they'll hang themselves with it. All you need to do is take notes and pictures, accumulate proofs. One day, you'll have a case to prosecute and they won't! Even of you don't want to go to court, they will fear you do so!
This is a very real and prevalent modern human problem. It's not like having a bad neighbor is unusual, at all. I can't remember a time in my adult life when I didn't have a bad neighbor in one way or another. Some violent, some weird and drunk, some spooky, some won't ever stop talking, some just rub you the wrong way for no discernible reason. We all need a lot more space than we have. When people get together on purpose it's usually fun, it's a party. When people are forced within sight of each other because you have no choice, things turn ugly. We're all bad neighbors to someone, just as they are to us.
Just remember that if you get revenge, you have to be certain that your neighbor doesn't think it's you, otherwise they will retaliate. And they don't need any proof of that either. All they have to do is think and believe it that's enough for them. Be careful filming them too, they can turn that around on you and make it seem as though you're a pervert or invading their privacy. You have to get legal advice on what to do. Maybe go and see a judge or chamber of magistrate. Do your research.
The silent treatment and showing that no matter what they do doesn't bother you. After a while they will get fed up with themselves for putting so much energy trying to piss you off that it will stop. Nothing lasts forever. Remember that. It's the live and let live response. They might even become your best friend in the end. Silence is golden.
That is certainly one approach that you could take, albeit a very passive one. My experience has been that self-centered scumbag renters do not stop with the bad behavior when they are ignored. Real change comes when the bullies are confronted.
When you been silent and to not respond to bad neighbour all you doing is promoting they bad behaviour by letting them know that they can get away with it and they will.
Not until you own a house, you notice toxic people making loud noises in front of your house was also originate from government project. They install basketball in residential field, 1% all bad and physopathic teens (out of control behaviour) from schools will come make loud noises basketball in front of your house. If we fight among each other, police will come in and jail the victim (the stressed house owners) not the loitering and loud rebellious teens noises (under age). In court government will set bail $10,000 or jail you 3 to 4 months for non crime putting the case reason that you harrass kids and that it's natural for teens kids to make piling sounds and more than 15 recognise teens stressful loud noises and expect you to be fine with these toxic behaviour in all public and all quiet residential areas.
For legal reasons. The following are jokes and I do not in any way suggest anyone actually do this for any reason and advise all people to make every possible attempt to solve their disputes legally and politely. 1: Throw the animal pellets for rodents into their yard in the middle of the night. Just a handful or so every so often. 2: Another one I heard of is bouillon cubes just before a rainstorm which will cause the yard to smell like stew and attract a lot of nasty vermin. 3: go to a pet store and buy a bunch of mice, cockroaches or maggots meant for snakes or lizards and drop them into the yard. (Make sure you actually have a pet lizard of course so that if you were to get caught you have plausible deniability and it can simply be chalked up to be at worst an accident. 4: throw rock salt into their yard to kill their lawn over time during summer over the course of several weeks in various locations at odd hours so that when it rains the rock salt melts and kills the grass and makes replacing the grass harder 5: buy a bunch of Doe in heat iron and spray it into their yard. They’ll have a herd of horny bucks within hours shitting all over their yard, fighting, smashing into their house and eating their garden. 6: Throw granulated sugar into their yard in random locations. Ants love sugar. These are just a few ideas which again for legal reasons are just for giggles. They are jokes. Do not do this. Read and laugh and move on with your day.

I live alone single home, but we share walls, all houses in a row, im quiet but my neighbours can drink till 8am , from now on im blasting music to their wall and my wood stove will arrive soon will point to ther clothes hangers so their clothes will smell like smoke

my neighbour was very particular about his garden and lawn. His daughter ran a small hair salon from the home and her clients parked in front of my home. Every evening I came home with groceries and kids, no parking to easily unload was making me so angry. As I left work, I popped in chewing gum. If I didn't get a parking spot, I spit my gum into his hedges and onto his grass and concrete parking pad.
I have one of those old boom boxes, it's really loud, I put it halfway between channels on static touching the shared wall.. He is using his apartment as a work shop banging up till 2 am some nights. I would love to find something that returns every bang he gives out back. I like the wifi idea, lol
I like your boombox idea. I've seen a vid where this guy had a setup that allowed him to record his neighbor's noise and then play it back to the neighbor on a ten second delay at greatly increased volume.
I HAD A BAD INCIDENT IN APARTMENT ANYONE PLS LET ME KNOW IF YOU COULD GUESS THE MOTIVE so, for a few times I saw my dried clothes hanged was put on the floor on dirt , but today I saw that one pair of my shoes missing and after 5 minutes the other pair too .soon I went on to our terrace to take my dried clothes and saw my dried clothes on floor with one of my shoe on top of it .who would it and why would they? does anyone know why my neighbour would do it and wt to do against it(i and my neighbour had no prev history of fights i lead a private life, but they watch us and we dont talk)

@@jackb.nimble4933 She make a lot of noise everyday at no particular time woke me up everyday 8am or so, I ask her to be quiet and the many wrong things like greedy of land (my space) putting over 100 potteries and sweeping dead leafs into my gate area and say I m lazy to clean and also I no longer able to park my cat in front park but have to reverse park everyday.

Check the car reg on the DLVA and report them if they have no tax or MOT. They may get their car seized or have to pay fines, put signs up saying Please do not block Access driveway in use 24.7, it will show others the neighbours bad behaviour and make things clear for them, contact their delivery drivers companies and ask them not to park on the driveway so ie target them indirectly, dont lie. put a speed limit on the driveway to show other neighbours of their problem speedingl
I love the ideas. The one thing you have to watch out for is some neighborhoods with HOA have noise disturbance hours and weird rules of the city. Some cities or areas do not allow loud things like mowing lawns until certain times like 9 am. Sure Even 9 am mowing every single day would be super annoying on the days off lol. My condo HOA has certain hours where things like washer and vacuuming shouldn’t be going on ( or I guess someone could file a complaint ) I’m not sure when those hours start and end but my next door neighbor likes to start her vacuuming and laundry at 8 am bumping my walls and their washer / dryer sits behind mine so I hear it and it wakes me up so I started doing my vacuuming and laundry at 10-11 pm once in awhile at midnight. I have door slammers on the other side of Me. I can’t wait to move and for sure my next home will be a house away from people
It depends on how far you're willing to take it. Here are a few ideas to consider. You could go over and talk to your neighbor about the noise problem. You could call the police and complain. You could offer your neighbor $50 to keep the dog on the other side of their yard, and offer another $50 to be paid when they move out. You could setup some kind of white noise (like a box fan) in your bedroom to cover the dog noise. Lastly, you could poison the dog. This last idea is extreme and could land you in legal trouble if you get caught.

Get them with ordinance complaints. My shitty neighbor just got my vehicle tagged with one because she a bitter bish. She has a horrible back porch with a dog and dog crap all over it most the year. I never did anything to her and she messed with the wrong person.
I have a neighbor who creeps around other people's homes and brings cars that are trashy Without license plates or tabs on on them on a residential streets. The cops don't do anything about that.

Landlords are filthy hypocrites. Critical tenants cost money. In principle, no sound should come through.. 0.0 In the past, soft floor coverings were mandatory. All laminate and hard floors create noise. Should be banned worldwide in apartments, flats, upstairs houses. 90 percent of apartments are noisy and cause nervous breakdowns in people. Serious health problems. That in turn causes aggression, unemployment and healthcare costs. etc. good housing is important. National authorities require homes to be properly insulated.
Just to be clear, I am not a landlord. I do not own any rental properties, but I do think most renters are scumbags. There is a reason they are the most hated group in America.

Also this neighbor that is complaining about me runs a landscaping business out of his rented house and im quite with the exception of mowing my grass once a week I’ve also lent this neighbor tools and have even fixed one of his weed wackers for him and now every time i mowe my crass he’s verbally threatening me or calls bylaw
It sounds like your bad neighbor is easily annoyed by things that you do, which can work to your advantage. You don't need to resort to any kind of extreme measures like I discuss in my video. You can simply keep doing what you're doing and document each and every time the police show up at your door in response to his complaints. The police are going to quickly figure out your bad neighbor is a bad neighbor. Also, you may be in a position to file a lawsuit against your bad neighbor for harassment. You may be able to get a restraining order against him. All ways to make his life more miserable than it is right now.
@@Isaac804ab1 Ah, you took the adult route. That is a good idea. I have considered contacting landlords to make complaints about my bad neighbors who rent their homes, but I've never actually done it. A threat of eviction should calm things down. Good luck!
New neighbors just moved in yesterday, I park my car on the street under the street lamp by my house, maybe 1/3 of my miata is on their side of the property line (but street parking is legal and we have a public easement with a sidewalk) and they pressure washed sand all over my car yesterday, I couldn't believe it.

I started this channel because I had several 'neighbors' across the street who had small fleets of vehicles and they were constantly parking them at MY house. At the peak of this problem, one duplex across the street (two families) had a combined 13 vehicles in the hood! You're starting to look like the problem neighbor here.

My horrible Illegal Immigrant neighbors have been harassing my husband and I for over 2 years by blocking our gate with there trash and recycling cans so be cannot get out of our backyard.

As a matter of fact I was mowing my lawn at 8:00am today and the neighbour came out screaming at me that I woke him up. I did not intend on waking him up. He said he has a medical condition and has trouble sleeping.This guy is only renting the basement, is retired, and sits in his landlord's garage 90% of the day smoking cigarettes. He is also in constant pain and is prescribed Oxycotin on a daily basis. Do you think this drug is affecting his mind? In my city there is no by-law specifically for homeowners as to how early one can operate a lawnmower. There is only a construction by-law that says they can start at 7:00am. I did nothing wrong but this loser insisted there was a bylaw that said I can't start until 9:00am. There is no bylaw. I hate my neighbour.
My opinion on this subject is that mowing lawns or any other kind of noisy yard work should not start until 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends or holidays. I think you did nothing wrong. If this guy has sleep issues, then he needs to use a white noise maker like a loud fan or something like that cover up any outside noise.
Nice. I've been thinking of setting up a loud speaker in the bushes with a motion detector so every time something moves across the street, a loud dog barking soundtrack will play.

@@lucyloo35 In my experience, even bad neighbors have a limit to how much drama they can endure especially once the police get involved. They simply get tired of the police contacting them about complaints and they either move or clean up their act.
I strongly disagree. Have you ever dealt with bad neighbors that seemingly go out of there way to antagonize you for no legitimate reason? People like us are normally great neighbors and don't do this kind of stuff until dealing with a problematic neighbor becomes a chronic nuisance. Don't show any respect or politeness to neighbors who don't deserve it. You're a fool if you do.
Maybe you should be giving advise on how to get along with you neighbor or overcome difficulties with a bad neighbor. That's my idea. It might make life better for the entire neighborhood and does not strain or take up precious police time. Instead of being a referee they can actually police where it's needed.
