@@DownToEarthwithKaty yes, it gives us something while we build - and of course even once you’re monetised there’s no reason to stop doing these extra money-making pursuits! It can all work hand in hand.
But how can i sell my products through RU-vid if there aren’t many people watching my channel? I mean if I don’t have enough viewers to get monetised, doesn’t it mean that there aren’t enough people who would see, like and buy my product?
You're absolutely right that if hardly anyone is watching your content then barely anyone will see the things you are promoting, but every mention that you do and every link you put in your descriptions will be there until/unless you remove them. So as you grow, however slowly, your promotions will keep being seen, time and time again. Ideally, you will get more and more viewers as time goes on, and as you add more valuable content, and they find value in your latest video, people will often go through your whole back catalogue. Also, remember that even if you don't have the 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours, there is a LOT of scope in between 0 and those thresholds. Just tens or low hundreds of subscribers can still mean thousands of views.
