I appreciate these videos. I became allergic to gels in nail school. Now I’m licensed and can’t do a lot like I hoped for. I need no gel options to do my nails.
🥺 oh my gosh! I’m so sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how difficult that must be as a licensed nail tech 😔 I am trying to have a good mix of gel content + non gel. Non gel always has a special place in my heart because it’s how my journey began. I’m still VERY Leary of gel products so I try to limit my exposure
I love this! I had to switch to dip powder because I got allergic to gel products. But I've been doing only plain colors since I can't use gel anymore for desings. But I'll try this so I can have some of the fun of cool designs back!
I did Mardi gras nails clear dip powder with activator. then added a small diagonal stripe of washi tape, dip base and craft glitter in one section purple, one green. Remove the washi tape fill with gold. Add a coat of base then encapsulate in clear dip powder
Did it take a long time to dry. I love my nail polishes but hate waiting for the dry time and of course I end up touching something and everything is ruined 😢 PS loved this 😊
Dip powder top coat needs activator to properly cure. I haven’t tried applying activator directly on nail polish, acrylic or stickers but I’m not sure it would mesh well. So to prevent that, you could apply a layer of clear dip powder over your design. I like to keep it simple so instead, I just apply a nail polish top coat on top 🥰
