I don't know about you but I'm an arty guy, I have tape, aluminium foil, and other stuff. I also have a private bathroom with towels, and don't forget you can wet your sheets with a water bottle or any other wet substance you have lying around.

I should do this because I know for sure I am going to burn my house down at some point. Whether it be because I see a big spider or because I cook something and accidentally burn everything. I mean one time I tried cleaning the stove while it was still on so I burned the paper towel, but its ok the sink was near to stop the fire.

I love this kind of videos. They're more useful than you'd think. My best friend died in a fire during her vacations, her hotel burned down and only 3 people died and she was one of them. Since then, I've been terrified of the idea to die in a fire to the point to when I hear a fire alarm, I have anxiety, even if I know that it's just an exercise.

I think because people have the tendency to think that this is something that happens to somebody else/not them. I remember being in a self-defense class once, and the instructor asked "Who in this room do you think is most likely to be attacked?" Well, of course everyone thought about it and pointed to who they thought that would be, and the instructor said "isn't it strange that nobody pointed to his/herself?!" He was right!! Just like cancer... always think it's something that happens to others, until it happens to you or a loved one. Good point you have made though, especially in light of all of these comments.

They forgot to mention to stay as low profile as you can, because there’s less smoke along the floor than up in the air where there’s more smoke because it poofs upwards. You don’t want to inhale any toxic smoke, so staying lower to the ground can lower your risk of smoke inhalation.

If the window is stuck, unlock it. If it's melted together, break it. If your a few stories up, land on a soft area but slide off of where u are and when u land, roll like those parkour people so the shock is equally distributed so you get a less chance of breaking or spraining. P.s. Do not jump more than 5 times your height unless you want something amputated.

My ‘OH MY GOD, I NEED TO JUMP THROUGH MY WINDOW’ plan- •Break open my window. I have uncountable amounts of heavy books, wooden objects and generally ideal window smashing objects. •I own a spare quilt. Throwing that down, as I don’t think hurling myself onto bricks is very safe. And my main quilt. •Escape is mine. I live with broken limbs.

I never expirienced a house fire but I think my art teacher has. That's why I didn't have my class today because she needed to evacuate from the mountains cause there are lots of wild fires there. And also is it safe to break a window and escape when we are trapped during a house fire?
