Dakota Shane buildings that are getting renovated or built sometimes require anyone on site to have a hard hat. I imagine an electrician occasionally has to work in construction areas like this.
And that's why we watch these videos. For other product comparisons you can tell he does research on them and fully gives a good standpoint to see if it is worth it.
I really like your reviews because you are more thorough compared to other reviewers. I feel like those 30 sec reviewers seem not as intelligent when they don't take the time to know how to use their product. You actually read the user instructions or manuals. I like that.
James your reviews are top notch please do not change for a couple of fools. All the reviews are thorough, you give the product every chance too be good or bad. I have been around from the beginning.
honestly the reason I watch you is because your not like other youtubers your amazing and tell it like it is! Thank you for your honesty and I love your channel
We just drove across the country from Ohio to California. Parts near Death Valley our car was reading 106F. It's a dry heat. I'm used to Pennsylvania humidity. We opened the window for one second and within another second the entire car went from 60F with air conditioning to feeling like we were in a dry oven.
I totally agree with you, James. Ive seen some of those "Reviewers" and they check out a product for a few seconds and say "Its great". Where as you actually put them through real scenario on how they would really be used. This is why you are my favorite and best Reviewer to watch! 1 million subs will be coming soon. Keep up the great work!!!
@@truneilson most affordable + washable option for the win!! Sometimes we get too caught up in technology & expense, when cheaper + simpler solutions are more effective, efficient, practical & environmentally friendly!!! Thanks for this comment!! =)
With them using 18650s the battery life can be greatly improved with high capacity name brand cells. I imagine the cells included are generic no-name chinesium cells with a greatly overstated capacity.
I liked the comment about "other RU-vidrs". If we are thinking of the same person, they dont even read the instructions and then will say a "gadget" does not work. No, it's because you dont know how to use it. Thank you James for really putting things to the test and giving us great content.
Like you in Arizona, we in Texas are cold weather challenged. So if someone here was wearing them people would flock to you asking where you got it. You'd be a genius not a weirdo lol! Thanks for are your great work!!!
james I just want to let you know that your content is superb. I really do enjoy it. Your editing style and personality have a charm. Please keep making content. Thank you.
Thanks James! I just ordered the neck fan based 100% on your review. It will definitely come in handy when I mow the lawn and while I'm at Dolphins games (37 year season tix holder). It can get pretty hot here in South Florida which is also humid unlike LV's drier climate. If it works, I won't care what people think.
I could have, and would have, used that face fan last year when power was out for a week and there was storm debris to clear out of the yard. It was hot and humid and not fun.
Hey i have to say that you and your video reviews are awesome, because you give you honest opinion on product and have helped my buy products that you have reviews on your channel. Thanks!!
I wear a fan around my neck quite often.. nobody has ever laughed or pointed.. what they DO is ask where I got it because they want one. People hate being hot. I love mine. If I can keep my neck cool it keeps me much cooler overall. Thanks for doing this comparison review, I’m going to try to get the double “around the neck” Fan to replace my single. 😊👍🏻
You got it strangulator 42. Fellow South Carolinian here. I've lived out west and here, believe me, different types of heat. I also think we can add July to that statement. IT IS HOT!!!.
Based on your review I'd say that waist fan seems like it works pretty decently for keeping the body cool under a shirt, then to complete the cooling one could use the "drone" fans pointed just right to keep your neck and face cool. In conjunction if you had two units that worked well, assuming the waist fan was defective (it sure sounded like it was from the start,) I feel like those two fans would work great to help one stay cooler during all manner of outdoor activities, especially with that hat to keep the air around your head/face.
Saw a bunch of these during the protest in Hong Kong last week. Was thinking about getting one, so great timing for the video. I think the waist might work better as an under the shirt back cooler.
The waist fan's front looks like it has a clip at the bottom to clip the shirt into so it doesn't get under and block off the fan's intake. Definitely seems intended for under-shirt.
i had one of these fans about 20 years ago from a high end catalog retailer. you filled it with ice cold water in the chamber and it went around the back of your neck and you pressed a button and the fan blew the cold air around the back of your neck. it looked almost like a collar. It was made of light plastic. it still works and its great-took two AA batteries. I use it to cool off when I do outdoor work.
You’re, by far, the best reviewer of these products. You’re very thorough and really put things through their paces. I watch you to make educated purchases, so keep them coming. And, as far as looks go, I don’t care. If one of the fans keeps me cool in our 110+ degree heat, what I look like doesn’t matter.
I also have all 3 of those fans, although slightly different brands. The waist fan isnt meant to cool your face. It is meant to provide cooling to your body and used underneath your shirt to try to keep your shirt drier and body cooler. It is not bad in that regard and I find it helpful. My waist fan is not quite as noisy as yours, although not quiet as the dual neck fan. i combine the waist fan with the dual neck fan and wear both to keep both body and head cool.
This review is quite serendipitous for me. I had just seen the O2COOL necklace fan while I was at a hardware store and was considering how useful it would be. I decided to do a bit more research before buying the first one I saw. Glad to see a relevant review so soon after.
Emo hair. LOL. Love it! Great reviews! This is the second type of item you reviewed that i didn't now about but definitely need! Thanks for the reviews, and thanks for your humor (and thanks for having Bailey in the video - she is adorable!). :)
Okay the part that got me was you got 29 items coming from amazon man I can't wait to see the rest of those reviews coming for the summer break while I am on vacation in July 19-22. Great Fan Review.
I love this channel so much, I have no interest in any of the products you have ever reviewed but I've watched nearly all of your videos just because of how entertaining they are to me
lol I like Crazy Russian Hacker because he's more funny than anything. I don't really take his reviews all that seriously, I just like to see him try to figure products out. For proper reviews, you're *definitely* the go-to guy.
And I don't thin you need to worry about how 'cool' it looks because it's pretty obvious its a fan. And seeing as how everyone experiences the same weather I'd be so envious of you.
I recently bought the face fan for a camping trip in Missouri 100% humidity and 90 something degrees. Obviously I wasn't using the fan the whole time, mainly at meals over the course of 2days and the fan lasted the whole trip on 1 charge and did a great job at making the heat more bearable.
I really appreciate your long, in depth reviews even when there's no chance of me buying a product. Bonus points for adding the temperature in Celsius.
In the desert with a silvery shirt, silver mosaic hat, silvered sunglasses, and a loud whirring thing attached at your waist. You were probably someone's alien sighting. Add the neck fans and you'll show up as a drawing in a UFO book. Great job on your thorough testing. Ignore the boobirds, for many reasons.
Love the sports fan! Bought mine at a horse show and use it every day. Especially when getting out of the shower and you’re sweating. Honestly I rarely use it around my neck. I would just put the fan right on my chest, facing my face and it does wonders. Love this sports fan. Best thing I ever bought. I plan on buying a few of these so I don’t ever go without one. That’s how much I really love this fan. It has three different speeds and the lowest speed is the speed I always use because it’s that powerful enough to where I don’t need to put it on the higher speed. Love this product and again, I plan on buying a couple of these so I don’t have to live without one!
I believe the chest fan is intended to cool the neck area because that's one of the quick cooling spots on your body. Cooling spots are where blood vessels are closest to the surface of the skin. Other effective cooling points are wrists, front of ears and temple. Your choice of the neck fan means you're cooling off more cooling spots (neck, front of ears and temple). Try using ice or cooling packs and place them on those areas. You'll quickly drop your body temperature!
I love you as a reviewer for two reasons. One You do, in my opinion, a quality job testing. Reason two is that, I live in south eastern Idaho, also a desert. So when you say something works where you live, it must work where I live.
Don't lie, you put that wig on and go down to the strip and hustle the tourists as a magician.. lol although honestly that Chris Gains reference is pretty spot on to the cover. I remember that shenanigans.
I doubt if you'll see this James, but I bought the wearable dual neck fan based on your review and it is awesome. Works great while mowing the lawn in the South Florida heat and any time it feels a bit warm. I'm impressed. Thanks for bringing this item to mt attention.
Hey James! I work outside at a produce market and garden center and I've been watching your videos just for entertainment but this time you persuaded me to buy something! I bought the wearable neck fan that looks like headphones because I work outside and this humid Alabama weather is a killer. Thanks for helping a guy out!
I decided to grab that Yobenki (Face/Neck) Fan, though importing it to Canada is a bit of a premium (cheapest shipping puts it just over $40 CAN). Still, it does seem pretty good and has a decent battery life. I get warm pretty easily, so it'd be useful for that. Plus, it can apparently function well enough as a desk/table fan, though I imagine its range is rather limited. First time actually getting a recommended product from this channel's reviews. I like watching them, but they usually cover products I don't have much use for personally.
8:45 Ah! I used to always hike there! And drift in that parking lot when I lived in Vegas. Mccollough hills traillhead! Its on mission dr and horizon ridge pkwy!
Hi Bailey!! Clearly the drone looking face fan was the winner in every aspect. At first glance I think most people would think it was headphones just hanging there. Besides, when you're walking around Disney or Universal on a hot summer day it doesn't matter. Very thorough review
Living in Phoenix is the equivalent of hell during summer, so is Vegas! These 2 cities are the best for testing products to reduce heat. I’ve bought COUNTLESS fans attached to a spray bottle which DO make a drastic difference, so the ‘drone’ style around the neck is the epitome of versatility. And it works well because it’s DRY here and in Vegas. Keep your neck cool enough and the heat is tolerable. I’ve always wet a bandana and kept it around my neck, but I got a ‘cooling’ towel (wet it,snap it, cools down), and with this neck fan I’d be golden. Gonna buy one and share my story with you if I remember lol. Thanx
I'm getting those headphone looking ones. They'll be great for when I'm fishing and they will also help keep mosquitoes and other annoying flies off my face
I would definitely wear the face fan! I always like air on my face! ☺️ Now I need to find one LoL 😂 I bet people that live in Vegas, or just people visiting that are hot not used to the weather, saw you wearing that would ask where you got it! Thanks for a great review as always. Oh and thanks for a good idea 👍
That clip on the outside of the waist hanging fan is for your shirt. It is supposed to go in you shirt. The neck hanging fan had foam pads to soak in oil, but I bet you could use water as well.
Thats why I love your channel. Anything can seem good just using it for a second. I tell everyone to check out your channel if they're looking for a review. My mom is always watching those commercial & I tell her wait, let me see watch my "guy" says about it😁.
I’m not really sure how much I could really deal with the constant drone noise of any of them! I really appreciate you putting the prices of the items up at the beginning of the video! Sometimes the price difference could make a lower performing product a better value, particularly when the results are fairly close. As I age, I’ve found that my 10 minute memory is not nearly as good as my 50 year memory! It would be helpful to me to see the prices at the end to aid in my decision. In the case of rechargeable items, it would be nice to know if the batteries can be replaced with standard rechargeables, dedicated rechargeables, or do you just buy a new product? Great video!
Between looking like I have a giant 80's pager that sounds like it's connecting to the internet, a tourist camera with a beard dryer, or a set of elongated beats that actually works as a fan... I'll take the face fans. Really just looks like headphones.
The first time I saw the "face fan" was in Disney World in July 2019. Everyone in a family had one and I was jealous. When it's hot and humid, who cares what your fan looks like?
