3+ Year Review: US General Hanging Tool Cabinet from Harbor Freight

This Harbor Freight cabinet has been hanging out in my garage for three plus years now, so I thought it was a good time to make a video review. I’ll go over some gotchas to look out for when putting it together, what I like and don’t like about the cabinet, and also let you know if this was a worthwhile purchase. HF makes a lot of stuff I wouldn’t trust in a garage or aircraft hangar, but I know a couple guys that used to bolt these onto their toolboxes. We would roll our boxes all over the hangar, onto the ramp, and to different hangars. At that price I’d it starts to fall apart you just start making clips and angles and screw or rivet patches onto it to make it work. Make it “custom.” Great video. I need to get one for my home garage now.

@@jroark101 generally it was any power tools that don’t work or last, drill bits not sharp or straight or cutting disks that don’t stand up to other brands. They’ve gotten better over the years. I’ll admit I’ve got a $10 die grinder that lasted my entire 15+ years in the hangar doing heavy maintenance and some structure repairs and mods, but I’ve got a pneumatic recip saw, drill, and sander that didn’t make 6 months.

Thank you for the review sir. I went out and bought 2 of these cabinets and I agree the instructions were pretty ruff. Question, that nuts and bolts bin that you have under the cabinet where did you get that from and who makes it? I sure would like one myself. Huge thumbs up on your video buddy.👍
