The youthful energy was definitely hard to wrap my head around until I stopped drinking. After 10-14 of not drinking. I, simply put, could not sit still. I had so much energy! I wanted to run, jump, swim, read books and the energy hasn't ever run out. I have youthful energy, and I finally understand what that means

Leon, what a great video! Thank you. I have 34 days of sobriety with one slip up about a week and a half ago and boy was it a reminder of all of the negatives that go along with drinking. Back on track and feeling great. Thank you for inspiring me.

No. 25: Wake up hungry. I m 4 days sober. Nad I woke up today, determined to give my best, or atleast do a better job than i ever did at my work. I wanted to own the day. It's amazing. No cravings. Coz once u decide, that u r not going to drink this weekend, after 1 month, after a year, in 10 years, or ever; u dont have any cravings. It's only when u keep a little wriggle room in ur brain about "poison", that u relapse.

If you're like me and can visit a pub or club without the urge to drink, you know you've made it through. I can visit a club for a meal, a fruit juice or water, and just watch that band or football game on their big screens. The cute barmaid will happily pour you a coke or lemon squash. You can play some snooker or chat quietly in your circle. If you feel the pub would be too inviting for a relapse, then yes, avoid them. But life is good without alcohol. Even I didn't think it would be initially, but I'm now totally a convert.

I love your enthusiasm man. I'm going on three months now. I had some of the worse post acute withdrawals with severe anxiety and shortness of breath from every smell, taste, and experience for weeks and weeks and it was literally a hopeless place to be, but I didn't give up. Literally, I was traumatized after I quit, but I have been working to build up the strength naturally with exercise, meditation, healthy food, and no alcohol/caffeine. The brain is very fragile and we should not be putting any kind of poisons inside of it. Caffeine and Alcohol messed me up physically, spiritually, psychologically, and mentally, and now I am getting my strength back in all areas! Nice Videos bro! Good Motivation!

It'll be a full year sober for me on March 22nd and I'd sum it up now as a real feeling of freedom. My days are no longer built around my desire to eventually drink but instead I'm now able be fully present. I can enjoy life for what it is; life can be tough at times too obviously but that's life, and I'm finally there to experience it fully.

There is an ancient Hollywood movie called "On the Waterfront" One of the characters had the skill and potential to be a professional prize fighter in the boxing ring. Unfortunately, he got distracted by booze and stumbled through his twenties, thirties, and forties in a drunken haze. Now that he's in his late forties, he's the grumpy, ugly guy sitting at the end of the bar in dirty, ragged clothes wallowing in regret about what he could have done in his life if he had never had a beer. His favorite thing to say is "I could have been great. I could have been a contender. I could have avoided a boring, average life as a manual laborer unloading cargo from ships that come to this port. I could have been a contender. "

I found this channel a couple days ago and I refused to subscribe cause you were telling me things I didnt wanted to -but needed to- hear. Today I subscribed as I binge on this channel while I binge on alcohol for the last time. Im done! It is not serving me anymore. And I will not forgive myself if I carry on to 2023, the things I've been wanting to kick out of my life for a while. Last year I stepped my foot down on a job and a marriage that were abusing me. I need to continue this momentum, and alcohol is next on the list. I can only go up from here. Thank you, sir.

I hardly ever leave comments anywhere, this is maybe my third one in over 10 years of regular YT. I didn't drink in a bit over 1 month, I stopped the day my girlfriend told me we're having a baby :) I know I'm not a proper alcoholic, but I definately have the potential to become one. My father was, died at 54 from it, my grandfather was, died from cancer realated to it. I either do 2 drinks, or the whole night. I've had outbursts, accidents, bar fights, emotional problems, bad consciousness, shame etc., especially next days problems, anxiety, depression and so on. I've never been properly addicted to it, frequency wise, but it's definately not a healthy relationship with it, I learned with weed that I can be a full blown addict too. No excuses, but I've been growing up around it, socially and culturally, like you said, wrong world view. Anyhow, I already see huge benefits 40 days in and now I'm trying to gain knowledge on why to keep it going on and how to restructure my brain, this was a fantastic video and it motivates the shit out of me. Thank you, keep grinding, you're doing an important job! 🙌 A new sub from Austria! ✌️

1 month sober and sometimes the clarity I experience is almost overwhelming! Sometimes I see things so clearly or I think things so clearly its actually a bit of a shock at first. Alcohol is so so bad for you and you will start to notice at 3 or 4 weeks the incredible benefits of sobriety. In Canada, the government makes a tremendous amount of money selling alcohol in the state run liquor and beer stores. It really is sad that our government knowingly profits from this horrible drug.

Even he's still caught up in this insane mind set we have about alcohol "I do not drink like a normal person" as though we assume it's normal to ingest poison. Would we ever say I don't shoot heroine like a normal person. Realizing how brainwashed I am about alcohol is one of the things that helped me stop.

One thing I find rather irksome in my nation is the number of anti smoking ads you see on TV urging people to quit, when nobody in my family smokes, yet alcohol is promoted in a positive way, but causes far more destruction in society. Accidents, deaths, injuries, financial and marital breakdown and criminal conduct to name just a few of it's symptoms........but yet, it's promoted as if it's somehow beneficial to our wellbeing.

Hi Leon, why don't you start a rehab in Chang Mai. As long as they have detoxed they could go there. You could charge $5000 per person to Australia, most people can't afford the $30,000 here unless they have private insurance and waiting on the public system isn't great. You would only need a few clients per month to be able to afford a nice premises with pool etc and you could run lectures each day for the 21 day stay etc.
