15 years sober for this guy. Not worth it anymore. Watched alcohol kill many family members and my parents. Frankly, it just ruins lives and dont need that anymore.
This channel is amazing and essentially sums up everything i was thinking about drinking into a great well stated message. Its really meant a lot to me.
I am a logical and scientific person. I just love ur content coz it makes me think rationally to why one should not touch alcohol. Most other channels talk about very broad and subjective reasons which doesn't last. Something about the thought of putting a narco poison in my mouth made me stop dead. Thanks Leon!
I'm a decent, hard-working person with a good income, a car, a house, a great family, a beautiful life. But because of alcohol one night I did something stupid and almost went to jail for 5 years. Luckily I was only detained for 2 days and released, alcohol not only destroys your health but your whole life. So I completely stopped drinking alcohol.
This is true I am living it the last 3 years because of you, also same principal applies to investing your money and making smart financial decisions, that also happens when you clear your mind! You can compound your good choices. Thanks for all you do.
Solid advice as usual. It's good to watch videos such as this for reaffirmation. I'm trying to be healthier. Now, when I find myself in a precarious situation, I just ask myself it this choice lines up with my goals. Seems to help me.
Thaaaank you for this. Every program I am aware of relies heavily on the amends process. I was making amazing strides and then started to apologize and ended up feeling worse (like suicidal thoughts worse). Some people's responses may bring you back to the dark place of feeling like an absolute piece of shit, which an addict like me clings on to and gives me an excuse to use. Perhaps in the future I will be able to attempt the process again, but in my experience, it has been destabilizing in early recovery.
