Today I review the brand new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach E GT Performance Edition and discuss over 30 cool and interesting features, specifications, quirks, and Easter eggs of this over $69,000 electric crossover/SUV. This one specifically is the GT Performance Edition which is a $6k option over the base GT; however, a lot of what I discuss is either standard or available on other trim levels of the Mustang Mach E so I suggest you stick around to learn about all of the cool features of this electric Mustang. I also discuss the differences between the GT vs the GT Performance Edition and the GT vs lower trim levels. I dive deep into performance, range, charging times, pricing, safety features, design, interior and exterior quality, interior and exterior amenities, and even towing. I also take the 480 horsepower and 634lb-ft of torque for a test drive and show you how this electric muscle car accelerates!
.
Huge thank you to Ken Garff West Valley Ford for giving me the opportunity to review this vehicle. Unfortunately this vehicle is not for sale but the dealership has a large assortment of different vehicles and trucks in their inventory. Reach out to them and let them know SchwayZ sent you!

It’s crazy that even my wife’s select AWD it has so much power off the line. First thing everyone says when they get in “wow I wasn’t expecting that”. I just with they all had 350 HP. But that 428lb is intoxicating.
@SchwayZ

Yeah it's insane amounts of power even on the non GT trims

The P next to the hazard lights button isn’t for parking sensors. It’s the Park Assist. Use it to activate the automated parking (parallel or perpendicular parking). Follow the instructions on the screen, put the vehicle in neutral then just hold down that button and the vehicle will park itself with no other input by the driver. Also not fan of a dealership that lets someone else drive my vehicle already sold. My dealership, hid my MME in the back lot and took it off the website until delivery.

Good overview of the Mach E. I for sure thought the range would be further than that for an EV but good info!!

Yeah definitely a downside to electric but luckily charge times aren't too bad using the fast charger. Thanks for checking it out!🙏

AWESOME review my man!!! I really wasn’t feeling that car at first… but DEFINITELY warming up to it…. So far that’s top on my EV list…so far any way lol

I know right?! It's definitely a surprising car. Ford put a lot of effort into it and it shows. Definitely a formidable competitor to other established EVs. I appreciate you checking it out my man!🙏

You did a great job! I sell Fords and have a Mach E Premium now and a GT Performance coming next month. The only thing you got wrong, which is insignificant, is the “coin holder” in the center console. It’s actually where you hide your key should you choose to just keep the key in the car and then lock it from the keypad on the outside. Phone as a key feature has proven to be a touch unreliable, so leaving key in the car is a decent option. I’m slightly concerned about the super bolstered seating, as I haven’t even been able to see one in person yet myself and I’m a big guy. Fingers crossed! Great video.
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ 2 года назад
Appreciate you watching! And thanks for the clarification on the center arm console. I think you'll be fine on the bolstering. It's not as aggressive as a lot of other performance vehicles

My performance edition has the roof the same color as body. Love it. Didn't want the moon roof as it adds 70 pounds to the vehicle and doesn't open.

We got two select versions one with AWD one with RWD. The glass roof here in vegas summers would not be good. I would have to get it tinted to keep any heat out.

Appreciate you checking out the video as always my man! Hmm that's a good question. Likely not just because it's almost too quick (and i got motion sick from the acceleration). But it is definitely hard to beat this level of performance at this price point.

This is the only EV right now I would even consider although I can’t see myself being serious about an EV for a few more years when the charging network is better and supply and demand has resulted in more options. For me, this car has way too many quirks and isn’t attractive enough to justify the cost. I couldn’t imagine spending 65k for a car that only gets 200 miles per charge. I live in the east where we have 4 seasons and I drive a lot for personal and business requirements. At 65k for solely a computer back and forth to the office is simply not attractive to me. When it comes to a tax credit, many people believe this means the car costs less; it doesn’t; you pay the same price for the car in cash or financing and they you get credit on your future tax returns; most people wouldn’t actually use that tax credit to fully reimburse themselves back for the purchase. Finally, EVs aren’t free to operate; depending on a number of factors; you should save around 35% of energy costs compared to combustion engine cars; again; yes, you don’t buy gas at the station but you do pay increases electric costs.
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ 2 года назад
Thanks for watching! Yes its hard to justify the costs. I think the lower trim levels are more reasonable and similarly priced to the gas competitors. This GT is definitely expensive but its hard to get this type of performance at this price point.

Charging my Mach E has averaged a $39 increase monthly to my electric bill. I charge twice a week on average. Regarding the tax credit. I usually have to pay taxes. This year I got $4188 back from Federal. This is one driving force as to why I ordered another one. The used market is hot despite not being able to use the tax credit. So I’ll trade my car in for so much more than I ultimately paid, and step in to the crème de la creme of Mach E’s while lowering my payment. Strange times!

Only way the 7500$ tax credit comes in to play is if you owe money at tax time. You only get credit for what you owe ..If you get money back then the tax credit is useless...The premium model is only 1.3 seconds slower than the GT Performance model..Is it worth the xtra 20000$ ...I didnt think so when I ordered my Premium Model..
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ 2 года назад
Yeah I think either one is wicked quick especially because of that instant torque
@stevensnyder7706

If you -owed a total of $7500 or more in fed tax, you get the full amount, even if it was already deducted from your paycheck. You will get a refund.
