I will do a video showing under the shell of this new buggy, so look out for that! but I had the opportunity to run it so of course I did!
over 2 different days i tried it briefly on grass doing some jumping and then on some super slick gravel/mud/tarmac car park area.
Its too early too give much opinion but so far I am enjoying the drive! its quite lively when pushed and the more i run it the more i like it!!
more to come of course.

The push pull steering made a big difference when added to my KMX2 and I would like to add to my 5ive B. So its great having on 30 dnb. I wonder if the QL 5ive B body would fit the 30 DNB? Joel it would be much appreciated if could offer up your 5b body for fitting comparison. 😁

nice 1 mate. i agree push pull is great. i want to do the upgrade on my 5t losi big bore project. good question about the body! in fact i was going to offer it up yesterday but ran out of RC time!.. i will for sure do it though and show u what happens ;)

Looks like a great buggy. What wt clutch spring. Sounds like 6000. Maybe a 7500ish. Would let the engine spool up a bit sooner. But maybe that's just my preference. Great vid looking forward to some more videos.

I agree mate. sounds like a more aggressive spring would be good for sure. TBH i am not sure what the stock spring is... likely a 6K as u say

How is the quality compared to King Motor? I am considering the King Motor X2 deluxe (Losi 5ive-T platform) but they also sell the 30DNT version of this Losi 5ive-T platform car. I've heard good things about the 30DNT bodies. The cars must me good too, at least I hope?
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
hi mate. I have not owned either the KM or 30 degree version of the 5t losi... but from my experience and what i am hearing the 30 degree is a step above. the body and cage are an upgrade many losi owners go for..... so for me personally i would not hesitate in going for the 3o degree dnt.... either the roller or rtr. which seem really good value to me.

Any chance of a direct comparison to your hoonigan losi 5b. Been looking at the 5b but the 30 is looking a good solid alternative.

RC Maxx UK also one other question. In the video it looks to be very rear wheel drive biased even though it's 4 wheel drive. Is that the case ?. Great channel m8.
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
Paul Skipper yes it drives that way for sure. Maybe as it’s got no centre diff but a locker. Def has a different feel to my 5b losi. ( which to me handles more the way I like personally). Cd I’m hoping will be an upgrade/ option part.
@dennismcleod8046
@dennismcleod8046 6 лет назад
I like the centre drive train with the ball drive rather than dog bones. I have the losi 5b and KMX2 and because of the angle of the front centre drive shaft the dog bone pin wears quite quick. Cosmetically I would rather have small perforation's or fine slits in the body to stop debris (large openings just for pull start and stop button)
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
the body fits very tightly on this 30dnb and compared to my other rigs keeps out way more debris! its very good in that regard. not the thickest lexan in the world though. I'm not massively keen on the 6 body pins to secure it!but of course a simple mod would be velcro or just using the front and rear 2 pins ( total) would likely be fine

Hi mate. Yes it was jubilee. you are right. I went there alone 1 friday and ran only for a few mins ( trying to be quiet! lol)... the park warden came over and i packed up and left after having a friendly chat with him. I only went as its such a great spot to try out this 30DNB. won't be going again if ever....as yes its out of bounds now....

Nice buggy!! 🤣 what do you think to the handling? Not as good as the losi??
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
Good question mate. Hard to answer without using them side by side or at least back to back at the same spot ideally on the same tyres and wheels. I love my 5b losi and its mine of course which sure makes a difference. I have fettled it to my personal preference, this 30 DNB is borrowed from a mate. Given the chance i would make a few minor adjustments, ,maybe fit some hub extenders ( like on my 5b) and adjust the shocks oil/ spring to the way i like personally. what i can say it the 30dnb handles well. its got very good steering and front end grip, the rear is a bit loose... it kind of handles quite rear end out ish. it has a locked centre diff as standard. well a spool not a diff so no doubt that makes quite a handling character change to the 5b losi with its CD. It seems to have all the basic ingredients nailed though. its nimble and solid as you'd want a buggy to be. I will definitely try to run them both in the same vid and hopefully talk about this subject in more detail for you. ;)

Don't normally like these fugly racing buggy things...but for some reason I'm really tempted by this one...did you have any rolls/crashes in your 2days of testing?
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
Hi mate. so far i have had a cpl of small crashes. one landing a jump wrong.zero breakages so far ( 3 separate runs now) Jim (car killer) ran it and of course rolled it about 3 times in a minute! ( that vid is coming soon) its very planted actually. handles very well and jumps nice n neutral. easy to bash and have fun with and i'm guessing decent on track. thats the thing with the 4wd buggy platform in general it seems. just dam good allrounders!
@AL-ud2is
@AL-ud2is 6 лет назад
Thanks for the reply, would you say these are much different to drive than a 5ive t and given the choice would you have of these over a Losi 5b...cheers :)
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
no worries mate. yes quite different to a 5T. compared to the 5B losi.... they are a very different price new. If I had £750 to spend the choice would be new 30 DNB rtr or used losi 5B.... maybe not even Rtr. my roller 5B losi with pipe and servos was £650...... on stock wheels n tyres. Add engine and the wheels n tyres i prefer to that and u must be realistically talking £900 ish plus....thats used.... the new kit losi 5b i think is £950?? so u must be looking £1400 ish rtr, maybe more depending on pipe, engine, servo, radio gear quality.. So with that in mind the 30 DNB is hard to beat!......BUT.... if u can find a really good condition, well setup 5b losi with good servos and engine for £750 ish then the value you are getting and quality parts etc at that price is hard to not go for! I love my 5B!! ;)

@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
Hi mate. So far heat has not been an issue. I will take some temps on film at some point to show where its at. I will do the same with my 5b losi. I think there are a few simple DIY mods that are known now to keep the losi5B heat issue under control ;)

Hi guys how does it compare to a hpi baja 5b ss. I'm thinking of selling my baja and buying one off these. Looks like it handles better and certainly better braking. Let me know your thoughts. Great videos by the way. Keep the videos coming. Cheers
@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
Hi mate. thanks. This is very different to the baja. Jim drove it and he is a die hard baja lover!( vid on my chanel)... he thought it was good but the 2wd baja more exciting. for me i like the 4wd and yes it turns very well. miles better than a baja! braking is good also. it jumps nice n neutral and is good value. It would be great on track and in tighter situations where jumping and turning are priorities. the baja with its 2wd is more tail out fun and probably more entertaining for some in a bigger area than this. good luck

@RCmaxxUK
@RCmaxxUK 6 лет назад
KalLanPIDT hope mate. It can look that way at times I agree. It does take off quick actually but the top end at least sounds a bit flat. Interestingly tho I drag raced it against my 5b which feels quicker with a full tuned pipe. Both 29cc. They were identical. So it’s deceptively quick. I understand a tuned pipe is on the drawing board to suit the all out power basher a bit more. This std pipe is low to mid favoured for track use as a preference when u r not really ever wide open for more than a second or or 2....and drivability is more the goal. 👍😀

@ianhearnden4471
@ianhearnden4471 3 года назад
Hello Brother ..why thumbs down on this post mate , im thinking of getting one of these and generally i have read quite good reports on the 30 degrees north buggy, i had my fingers and wallet burnt earlier in the year when i made a royal mistake purchasing a yama 1/5 professional 30cc petrol baja buggy. to be quite frank , my ownership with it has been nothing but a fkin headache , so what ive been doing is looking through the comment sections of the above and checking to see if there are too many negative comments in regards to it, thus when i saw your thumbs down was wondering if youve had one and not got on with it for some reason or other... all it is , i dont want to fk up again and buy another piece of shite... Yeh the Yama i bought has been an utter bastad a four letter word would have been more appropriate , and the company, if you can call them that, have been as bad if not fkin worse, no worse , the YEARS warranty ( what it is STILL valid) is not worth the ink it was written with. honestly when , or IF , you can finally get hold of someone in the after sales department, they just fob you off with a load of old bollox. Like ..... Quote "The muffler is supposed to leak" ??? right so when i take it out and it has not broken after the first 5 fkn minutes im supposed to take it home and spend a couple of hours taking the engine out and cleaning underneath it... oh and mr NITROTEK why has my suspention failed 3 times in exactly the same place ??? and i have not even gone over jump, this is just were the fkn thing has just rolled over?? and mr NITROTEK why oh why i have i gone through 3 clutch bell housings ??? again they have also failed in exactly the same friggin place , though again i get a cute response to my question, this time of some other twat , quote--- " it designed to break there when put under too much stress to protect the engine " , i laughed to myself and thought theres only one cnt here being put under too much stress . Funny thing is, it has the same part number , exactly the same part as the 23cc version. Being the 30cc version, one would think that they may have somewhat upgraded the bell housing to cope with the enhanced power of the larger displacement engine... so got it in early February this year and havent even gone through £ 2.50 worth of unleaded....... one thus, could argue that it has been great on fuel !!!! i have emailed them about 6 photos of there piece of shite accompanied by a polite note , and my last response of them was...Quote " Box it up and post it to us and we will get one of our engineers to take a good look at it " ENGINEERS have you ever heard of a qualified radio control engineer ?? im not after my fkn house rewired or my heating system renewed... Fuck me just send the shitty parts through and i can go through the same pleasurable experience of watching them all FAIL again..... Dunno about Arrma tough mate this is Yama----- designed to FAIL and piss you off every fkn time.... Now im sure that there are a lot of happy yama owners out there and im sure that not all customers get treated like an utter c*nt but for fck sake NITROTEK send me my fkn parts cause im fked if im gonna pay twenty something quid to post it to them for some c*nt to look at it.. by the look of it i have more chance of fkn Santa Clause turning up accompanied with Elvis Presley singing Amazing grace . So im doing some due-diligence this time so i dont go through the enlightening again brother... I have around 650-700 to spend on one and fancy a 1/5 petrol vehicle as I have 4 battery cars / buggies....... i would dearly love a losi 5ive t but cannot afford the 1600 (plus smart transmitter 180) i know choices for this type of buggy are few and far between with a budget of 700 sheets. If however you have any advise that you could give me , would be well appreciated. Peace Out my friend..... all the best Ian
