uhhhhh... he doesnt say "captain hook" to maui, he says "Get the hook" Referring to them trying to recover maui's fish hook - and also a reference to when people do bad on stage, especially in cartoons, to where a usually purpleish-brown hook is slowly inched toward the performer and roped around their neck, or lower chest and pulling them off-stage so they dont embarass themself.

Hignososs, actually the carrot has EXACTLY the same shape and everything to Olaf's nose, and it is also in the basket with his arm. I think a lot of other one's were a stretch though, like the hammerhead shark, marshmallow, (definitely captain hook one because he did;t even say that), the lair, etc.

Maybe someone said this already further down but the villagers' tattoos aren't designed to look like Dwayne Johnson's. He has traditional Samoan tattoo designs called Pe'a and so do they. Johanna A. Florez Yes finally someone understands the traditions of these islands. In Polynesia or any other state in the federated states of micronesia it is traditional to have a tattoo. These states have different traditional tattoos, it is just part of our culture. BTW I am from the federated states of Micronesia so don't say anything about me not knowing anything about the culture

Brigida Mcintire I don't know much about it but just reading about the development of Moana introduced me to some of these traditions. I'm glad Dwayne Johnson learned more about his ancestors' traditions. It introduces a lot more people to it and reminds me to explore my own heritage all I can.

I believe that during some of the behind the scenes and making of videos the creative team said that the important/main characters where given his tattoos. Ie. Grandma Tala, and Moana’s parents. The shoulder and wrist tattoos are the ones I remember they pointed out. The rest were just traditional tattoos.
