I have reached the point in my French journey where I am now trying to understand spoken French. I have a reasonable vocabulary, and I can read and understand French pretty well (I read novels in French generally without problems) but spoken French is a challenge. I encountered your channel by accident a long time ago, and for me, they always been great. Your voice is appealing, the content is interesting, and it is not a chore to watch - rather, quite entertaining. So thanks for that.

Thank you Tina! It takes a long time to understand spoken French, so you have to listen a lot. Active listening is what I recommend: listening while reading the subtitles. Playing French in the background is not very useful for beginners. Members of my channel have access to a members-only French listening practice every month. The video is subtitled in French, English and phonetics to help you make the connection between pronunciation and spelling. You'll listen to the story at three different rhythms: slow French, normal French and fast French, to help you understand increasingly fast speech.
