$20 for rod and single speed reel. Also they gave me a couple of hooks and sinker. The price is for a full day trip. I brought my own reel though. Tight lines!
I would rather go overpowered than underpowered. You never know what size of tuna your boat run into. If I run into 50-100 pounder, I can swap leader to 80lbs and have a chance. If you start with talica10, no chance.
The lesson I learned last year was “hope the best, prepare for the worst” You can watch the other video where >100lbs fish bit my #60 setup. I got criticized a lot for using light setup. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-py3kNQv1hTw.html
@user-jc4yv7eg7c Thank you for watching the long video and your comments are well taken. There’s always a trade-off between light vs heavy setup and especially I agree with you that you have to get bit to begin with. That fish refused to come up above 100ft for 30minutes and therefore that 2 clicks… and getting tangled probably damaged the braid and ended up snapped.
