I have been there the past two weekends to support the local fisherman, but the price is kinda step. Spent slightly over $110 each time. For example, rockfish cost $7/pound, and if you want it fillet, you have to pay another $2 per pound. We purchased 3 pound rockfish for $21, then had it fillet for $6. Total yield was around 1lb. You can get a wildcaught rockfish fillet at Albertson or Ralph's for $9.99 per pound.and I don't have to drive far to get it. If they lower their price, I would comeback.
The rockfish from Albertsons?? Have you smelled that before lol never again. I rather Pay these guys to give me fresh caught fish than to side eye my meal because of a smell. Plus I’m a fisherman I know the difference . Fish to docks to stores takes a few days, with these guys, the fish was alive within 24 hours ago
@christopherr6363 I agree with you with fish being fresh. All I'm saying is that paying $27 for less than a pound is just too much. I love supporting local fishermen, but not at this steep price. Plus, I have to drive 45 minutes. Like I said, if they lower the price a little, I will be back.
