Welcome to your 30 min yoga for jiu jitsu. This class is great for athletes of mixed levels and includes a full body routine that you can do daily to improve flexibility and mobility for bjj.
This yoga flow targets the areas of the body that people struggle with in bjj - we will focus on ankle mobility, strengthening your knees, improving your hip flexibility, wrist strength and neck strength.
The sequence intends to give you a little of everything to help you improve your jiu jitsu and aid recovery on rest days.
I hope you enjoy this yoga flow for jiu jitsu.

Hello Charlie, we don't do BJJ but how impressive that you study it. We loved this practice. My favourite part (apart from seeing the doggy!) was threading the needle with the arm bind and leg raise-I went too far and fell over on both sides.😂 Lots of fun, as were the monkey jumps. My daughter's favourite part was savasana. She said this class made her "joyful." Me too. Thank you so much!

Oh, Charlie, you outdid yourself with this gem! I absolutely loved it! 😂 Even though I toppled over during the bound one-legged thread-the-needle pose (I couldn’t stop laughing), the rest of the class was exactly what I needed. So excited to find this. Been doing jiu-jitsu for over a decade after turning 50 i realized I need to look after myself better. Decided to start doing yoga for strengthening and flexibility so have been looking for exactly this. Thank you! Hope there will be more

As a fellow practitioner for more than 10 years with more than my fair share of injuries, I know very well how important mobility and flexibility are to your longevity in the sport. 45 year old, I’ve done Traditional Jujitsu for 13 years and I’ve been doing BJJ for a few months now. I love how you’ve done this. Thanks so much. My hips are tight, Wrists off years of throws are solid. And as you know doing BJJ and rolling can be taxing on joints and bones 😂✌🏻 Love this

I really appreciate the little reminders to keep good form. At the lunge section I kept leaning my weight onto my toes but every time you said to lean into the heals, I was able to correct myself. Also, I don’t practice jiu jitsu in any way but I still really enjoyed this one😊

Hi, Charlie! Thx for the new experience.. honestly before I didn’t enjoy these “fun flows”, monkey jumps always made me feel exhausted, weak and constant reminder of being incapable of doing handstands… but after a couple months of practicing with u, today I hv realized that I’m more confident while doing them… still it was a sweaty one for me… I really enjoyed thread the needle variation as I love all the balancing and binding postures.. At first my body was like “brain, don’t tell me what to do, I knw better” and instead of lifting the leg up, it lifted it to the side for the counterbalance, but when trying to correct the pose I inevitably fell to the side… What actually helped me with the balance is first extend and lift the leg and then do the bind…

Nice class albeit with interesting moves to strengthen neck. I didn’t try to lift off the knees with head on floor and hands behind me, looked to be too much for me. I enjoyed holding up the front leg in the standing balance pose, balance and strength work simultaneously.

Suggestion: it would be great if you could create a video for Morning full body routine (which you have plenty and all are great), but with a focus on sciatica for does who are about to go to 8 hour sitting office work! I’ve been using daily practices by you ever since you uploaded the June challenge. Sadly this practice was not for me as I felt rushed through those 30 mins. I’m not sure whether the tempo was different compared to your other practices or felt more like a workout to me and less like a yoga flow. Or maybe it’s just an off day for me. I appreciate you trying to show us something new. Keep up the hard work

..... very good to see you bridging the gap between yoga and other psycho-motoric disciplines ... problems I have with yoga is that I don't always understand the relationship between certain moves and daily life practise other then erotic or lapdancing for women (joking) ... and too much stretching is just bad for the body I believe. My compliments... you are the only channel for yoga I follow on youtube !! You are on a very wise path !!! Greetings from the Netherlands !!

I did Kung Fu and Jujuts for a Decade and loved it. A that time yoga was second.while i had a Budo- Padedagogic- Teacher- Training and found out about the shared roots of Meditation , Yoga and MartialArts, which fascinated me...also the shared topic of personal development.After breaking several vertebras of my spine, several major surgeries , some titan in my spine and thanks to fabulous medical and rehab care i recovered quite well, but i had to quit Martial Arts😢...i had loved it so much.But i found out that you can start with yoga 4 weeks after spine surgeries, cat/cow is possible as soon as you get rid of all the tubes they put in your body 😅....as a beginning. Martial Arts is such an important issue especially for women, as we are usually not encouraged to fight when we are tiny like boys.Jujutsu itself is one of the most recommentable Martial Arts, as its techniques balance females often natural disadvantage of height or muscle power❤

Okay, I got a question I just recently started doing yoga. Like I'm a week new to all of this and I've mainly been doing ur 15 minute early full body yoga stretch and it's helped me get through the day at work. But I'm getting off topic. On 6:34 when you lift ur hips up and ur only standing on ur feed and head what's the technique behind that? I weight 222 pounds and I would like to attempt that but I'm scared I'm gonna break my neck.
