Oh my goodness! I just made these and they were more than I could have ever dreamed for 🥹. So delicious. My first time making scones. Thank you!! I didn’t have white chocolate or coconut so it was a simple scone with a basic glaze since I omitted the white chocolate. Wowowow. I froze my butter and then shredded it with a cheese grater and it came out great!

Scones are actually on the list of foods that my picky kids actually like. I also like its something i can put together the night before, put it in the fridge, and my oldest can pop in the oven for me in the morning.

❤Whenever a recipe calls for eggs I add one me than called for because I have fresh eggs from the flock. Today I’m using duck eggs which gives a buttery flavor t recipes. I’m making cranberry chocolate chip. 😊

I made these this morning for breakfast; they were SOOO EASY TO MAKE and they were LOVELY. They have a lovely sour sweetness and creaminess to them as though they were made with yogurt. I found them sweet enough to go without the glaze. Also, they are GENEROUSLY portioned; I couldn’t finish mine. This is definitely going into my weekend breakfast rotation. Thank you for the delicious recipe!

As a craft with your children, you should try using a pin to put a hole in both ends of several of your pretty eggs, you will need to make one end hole bigger than the other (check online for how big the holes should be), and blow the contents out into a bowl, that you could use for bakIng or cooking. Run water through the eggs shells, to clean them out. Make sure they dry completely. Then you can use a mod podge that is stronger than regular mod podge to coat the entire egg, to strengthen it. You could leave them natural, or decorate them, by placing pieces of a napkin over a layer of mod podge, smoothing it out as you apply it. Put another coat or two of modpodge over the napkin decorated egg. Make sure to only use one layer of napkin. It works well with dictionary pages, music pages, or anything thin enough to smoothly adhere to the egg. You could also make some with glueing tiny fake flowers in a pattern over the eggs. You could stamp or write the name of Easter dinner guests, to use as place setting markers that the guests can take home. While working on the eggs, get a big piece of styrofoam to stick a long very thin stick into, then put the larger end of the egg onto the top of the stick, to make it easier to apply mod podge and napkin designs. Each child could also have a chunk of styrofoam to do the same thing. Styrofoam can be easily found at stores recycling bins.

I made this recipe yesterday and will say I thought a "standard" cast iron skillet was a 10inch skillet and learned a little too late that a 12 inch skillet would have been much better. That being said, this was a great recipe! I made a Biscoff cookie version :)
