Balance is an illusion. Even when we successfully stand on one foot, it’s the micro-movements - imbalance in motion - that keep us from toppling over. Does this idea of weaving between structure and freedom resonate with you? WEAVING is active. It’s intentional. It’s a moment-to-moment choice. (It’s also the literal definition of “Tantra” - YES - one definition of the Sanskrit word Tantra is “to weave”!). The focus is on mobility and flexibility in this class because those are the skills that allow you to handle life’s changes. To be adaptable, even in the hard moments. Tip: A yoga strap (or a dog leash, scarf, or towel) could be handy for some of the standing balances in this class!
