I bought a spin cycle and oculus quest 3 months ago and I've been faithfully biking 30 min a day, medium intensity. I knew I needed to make it fun to keep me going and your videos are wonderful. I'm an east coast 60 year old, have never been out west. After 35 years of reading Dean Koontz novels you have finally given me a visual to so many California landscapes in his stories. Thanks for being my tour guides :)

Hey guys! Just found this channel (and subscribed of course!)from watching your 10 BEST Campgrounds video. Had to comment cuz this rec trail is near where I live and do most of my bike mileage. This trail and the ride into Pebble Beach! Yes, best time to ride is Tues - Fri before noon (winds ALWAYS pick up after 1pm) there are not as many people, strollers, walkers/dogs etc. Re the wind, its when you are heading west bound towards PG (Pacific Grove) from Marina that you would be riding into the wind. I'm sure you guys felt it. 😃 lol I ride a 24 speed Giant Touring bike. An E-Bike is coming up in 2023. Fingers crossed! BUT WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO LIVE! Sigh. XO to U both.

Hi Liz & Paul, I noticed this ride is with your “old” bikes. I’m so sorry your bikes were stolen. I feel really bad about my red light comment a couple of rides ago. But thanks for posting the uncomfortable video discussing the incident. I understand the embarrassment, especially after you planned for better security. I spent a couple of hours reading all the comments. There were some useful comments; I liked the idea of stamping your driver’s license number on the frame, and I’ve thought about removing the pedals. And some comments were horrible; get an old, non-electric bike - horrible, you’re better off alone - HORRIBLE! I’m so happy to hear you immediately replaced your Ebikes, this time with a matching set. Hang in there Paul, life is better shared. That being said, this was a nice ride. It made me want to go to Monterey and ride that path. Although, I think that was the most crowded bike path I’ve ever seen you two ride. Did you give up on Starva? I liked the extra information. I’m looking forward to your new rides. Thanks for sharing. Live Amazing!

Yeah! We made the mistake of being there on a Saturday! I'm sure it's better in the week or earlier in the morning. This ride does clear out as you continue in the video. Happy and safe riding!

Lovely place, but why does the film have to keep transitioning from one scene to another - you lose track of where you are - and having someone cycling right in front of you stops you seeing where you are going. I've noticed this happens on many RU-vid cycling videos, is there a reason for it?

Hi Tim, as a long time road cyclist I'm used to riding "on the wheel" in front of me, so when we decided to record our rides we wanted to give the viewer that experience. Actually, it's not 100% authentic because in a real riding situation the trailing rider would literally be inches away from the wheel in front of him or her. The scene transitions are from editing out stops or what we think are boring sections. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Was somewhat enjoying this ride, right up until about 13 minutes and 30 seconds when the guy in front turns around and shows us his bright light blue surgical mask. Ridiculousness at its utmost. I'm out won't be supporting that kind of nonsense!
