The fact that Wrestlelamia didn't mention HBK & Hunter fighting each for no reason only for Hunter to tap out of nowhere and Eddie Guerrero coming in the ring to celebrate solo is crazy!
There's no "probably". This is a showcase for Jade Cargill against 3 jobbers. It's sad how Asuka was at one point unbeatable and now she's a jobber, and the same person is booking. I guess he never really had any respect for her after all. Makes you wonder what caused him to give her the streak.
@@Kratosx23even if she has become a jobber, I'll always love Asuka. She always brings 200% to every match she does, even if she's doing a support role ringside. The fact that so many fans defended her after Goldberg's rude comments about her makes me happy that she's still got a large fanbase.
@@joshuahiltpold248 Yeah, so will I, but it's not entertaining to watch the best person in the division lose and lose and lose every big match, especially at WrestleMania. Her career is incomplete until she wins at WrestleMania. It's the last thing she has left to do and they're just refusing to do it.
The main events of Manias ending in a 0, has never been a straight 1-vs-1 affair: 10: Bret & Lex co-won the Rumble, which led to Bret vs Owen, Yokozuna vs Lex for the belt and Bret vs whoever won between Yoko and Lex. 2000 (technically, but it still fits): The Rock actually didn't win, Big Show did and both claimed the shot at Triple H. That eventually gave us with the McMahon at every corner 4-way clusterfuck with Foley. 20: Benoit jumped to Raw to face Triple H but Shawn inserted himself into the match over unfinished business with H. 30: Batista won and was meant to defeat Orton for the belt (in a move that Dave recognized was a bad move even then), but Daniel Bryan became the most over guy in the world and faced Triple H in a winner gets inserted in the main event. 40: After the whole Cody wins but relinquishes his spot to The Rock after a 2nd Rumble win and being screwed out of the championship the year prior fiasco, became a ton of backlash that couldn't be swept under the rug, and now we're getting a tag match of Cody/Seth vs Roman/Rock and then the Mania 39 rematch between Roman vs Cody.
@@MrSniperfox29 Even if those matches are 1-on-1, that doesn’t mean they were a straight forward Champion vs Challenger match. The only reason why they split Yoko vs Bret vs Lex was that Triple Threats didn’t exist back then. Roman vs Cody II is not really as point-A-to-point-B story as it was with their first encounter, is it?
A few honorable mentions: 1. As WrestleMania XL becomes the second WrestleMania to take place in Philadelphia behind WrestleMania XV, The Rock will be the only person to compete in both events. 2. Every WrestleMania match Charlotte Flair has wrestled has been a championship match. 3. The Rock has never won the WWF Championship or any championship for that matter at a WrestleMania even though he went into his matches as a champion. 4. Kofi Kingston is the first black wrestler to win a world championship at a WrestleMania. 5. There have been two one-on-one matches between father and son matches at WrestleMania: Vince and Shane McMahon at WrestleMania X-7 and Rey and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 39.
The footage of Chris with his wife and son was never included in the PPV of Mania XX; it was shown on WWE TV afterwards and a Benoit DVD (from 2004). It was never on the live show OR original DVD releases...
@@mackisbrocklesnar it’s just one of those goofy little knit picks that Vince put into play years ago. Hospital was a banned word for wwe broadcasts for whatever reason, so they always say “local medical facility” instead.
I feel like in the picture of Owen and Yokozuna you can tell Yokozuna is trying to not laugh which my guess is Owen said something to try to make him crack while taking the picture lol.
The Wrestlemania 37 curse. The two main events were Sasha vs Bianca and Roman vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan. The winners (Roman and Bianca) went on to be big names. All the losers are now AEW afterthoughts.
The feud leading into X8 with Jericho (in Canada no less, *and* the feud was with Stephanie and not Chris), XIX with Booker T and 25 with Orton all make up for Triple H's Mania jobbing, when it comes to his "reigns of terror"...
When talking about RVD’s undefeated streak you stated that Demolition was also undefeated. They actually lost at Wrestlemania 7 against Genichiro Tenryo & Koji Kitao.
Undertaker worst WrestleMania match was against giant Gonzales, Brock, John cena and plenty more before roman. For you Undertaker worst match is against roman is because you're typical roman haters do you're opinion doesn't make facts lol
Could you get imagine how nervous that ref was that he maybe just ruined the streak by accident? I wouldve been hella nervous to count that 3 without prior knowledge
Although it was a falls count anywhere technically it was a last man standing match as crush wasn't pinned but hung upside down by randy savage at WM10 resulting in crush being unable to beat the referee's count of 10
Asuka's WrestleMania record is depressing and you might as well just say she's 0-6 because there's a better chance that Roman wins and Cody never finishes his story than there is of Damage Control beating Cargill, Bianca and Naomi. I expect that WWE will never give her a win there. It clearly isn't a priority for these morons, and unless this is something she actively wants (it's not), there's no excuse for it
I predict Jade Cargill will get locked in the bathroom and Damage Control will win! Seriously, if Iyo wins the title they should make it Iyo vs Asuka at next years WM.
@@TJ52359 They are *NOT* beating Jade Cargill. Bianca also has a "streak" at WrestleMania that they will only let Rhea Ripley end. Forget it. Asuka, Kairi and Dakota are glorified jobbers and they're sacrificial lambs for Jade. Absolutely 0% chance Damage CTRL wins. And at this point, Asuka never winning at WrestleMania is deliberate. This is a booking choice, not a coincidence. They are purposely burying her every WrestleMania.
I dont care what anyone says, but there is only ONE main event. It can be 2, 3, 4 nights show, but main event is the last match to close a whole show, thats my opinion.
Loved the fact that WMXL had almost all titles changing hand except thos that were never expected to change, the brand split of the Tag Championships was good too. Not anymore though Undertaker didn't actually face the Rock in a match of their own but they have faced off and Rock did take a bump.
Fun Fact: with the exception of Warrior vs Hogan at WM 6 where both the IC and WWE titles were on the line. The Intercontinental or United States Championships have never been defended in the main event of WrestleMania in single matches. Anyone think they WWE should do that.
