That mother is in some serious emotional pain. Losing her husband, that was traumatic enough. Now she has to witness her daughter enter into relationships, that help cope with her daddy issues. The mother is clearly not a fan of the marriage, she seems to be even annoyed with just speaking about him. I don't blame her honestly. It's not even the relationship, it's the way he communicates with his wife. It's very creepy... I give Mom a lot of credit that she is still willing to support her, despite her feelings. That's a true mother.

I don't completely agree with that. My fiance and I are 21 years apart and I did not loose my dad at a young age. And my dad is very active in my life. He raised me, and never left and still to this day would do anything for me. And I prefer older men. So I would have to disagree with your statement

And that's on her. We do not live our lives to satisfy and please everyone else. As a parent, your child will make many choices and take many paths that you do not agree with. However it is important to recognize that it is their journey and if they are filled with joy along the way then it's best you find solace in that...even when you do not agree.

Funny thing is, marriages like this are and were super common in lots of places around the world and in the BC and early AD ages. In lots of cases it is and was teenaged or even pre-teen girls marrying and having kids with old men.
I feel like the mom was on the verge on tears. And on behalf of the older son who disagrees with this relationship, my dad (who recently died) dated a woman two years older than me (within the final two years of his life) I was 26 at the time. Now 28. She and I were friends as kids. I can only imagine the disgust his son feels. The thoughts I’m sure he’s had cross his mind. Well I am 64 and my wife is 34 we been together for over 12 years her dad and mom both alive and together and I am on SSI and retirement so she's not a gold digger we have one kid together.
