It was time for a change, an improvement in many aspects. Having left over colored PVC from my saltwater build, I decided to put it to good use to not only enhance the appearance of this massive filtration system, but to also improve on the system's efficiency. The new set up allows me to run a much higher flow rate at a lower main pump power setting...a win-win.
I was able to "clean up" a handful of areas that were not optimal, making more direct routes for water flow and reducing drag and turbulence. Sound over the top? Perhaps, but I am left with a new and improved system that has actually surprised me in efficiency and power consumption.
This system has also been set up as a "smart" tank like my saltwater set up. I am using wifi outlet plugs and an app on my phone (Gosund).
