I've seen these type of things for rocket league. It's so funny. The pros always mess up because their instincts kick in. This would be very entertaining for AOE2. I don't know which pros would agree to such torture. They would definitely need to be paid.

Now I wish I had joined the AOE II low ELO scene when I played in my CD that came in a magazine years ago, rather than going to gameranger. Edit: Seriously, I remember playing a game in another RTS where the AI was more annoying than us.

Honestly, so long as you're having fun, that's the only thing that matters. Given that it's been more than a year, how is your elo now? Personally I'm too anxious about getting absolutely steamrolled over and over again that I've never played online. From watching LEL a fair bit, I would imagine I'd probably be somewhere like 700-900 elo, but that's after a reasonable amount of deliberately trying to get better and over 20 years of experience. I just figure that at the level in the video, they may well be small kids. My friend asked recently if I'd coach/teach his 9 year old son how to play, so there are certainly people that young playing this game. I would rather play with/against my friend than his son that I've never met.

I've been played since 1999 and I would say that I'm maybe 10-15% better than them. I control my units better and I have real battleplans, but I can't seem to be able to memorize build orders. I will always fuck up at some point. And like T90 once say, like a lot of players, I do well in Dark Age and I reach Feudal and I'm like: "Now what?" 😂 Beyond the generalities, this game can be really hard.

You can never recover in LOL but your chances to recover in AOE2 scale upwards with your strategy[including micro and macro] and APM,so master both and you'll be in high elo

@@aragornii507 As long as you know who sells the riot boosted accounts where you lose 1 elo point for loss and get 30 elo point for win then it may be Elsewise lol is just mere crap where you cant play whatever you want because of riot stans and so called "kusoge" balance

@@xxlordtinchoxx9015 right some characters are trash and some are pay to win. Its like comparing a skirmisher from aoe 2 to a paladin. In league of legends some people purchase the paladins and massacre the trash using free to play people

That was so painful to look at. Take one more shot and win the game. Somehow manages to get his treb into melee and everybody else shot by the castle. I cannot fathom how he could have missed that much going wrong for that long. I'd like to say he's probably a child, but I played better than this back in the day.

@@MadnessTW very easy to miss, I wouldn’t assume anyone was a child based on anything you see while spectating. If anything a child is more likely to be better than an adult. One thing I can imagine happening is them thinking, right that’s sorted the treb will kill the castle, I’ll just move these units in for the kill. missclick everyone in. Assume everything went to plan while looking else where on the map. Come back and wonder what the hell happened.

@@RobotShield I don't think the treb would move like that. I'm pretty sure you would have to choose to pack it up, then move it in a separate step. As you give the movement order, you can't help but notice that the castle is still up - or so I would have thought. Maybe blue kept going assuming the melee units would finish the job.

@@MadnessTW trebs pack up on their own if you click to move far enough. I almost never click to pack up and don’t have a hot key for it because this feature is in the game.

for them its not vibin though, its full stress mode if you need to do more than 10 actions per minute :D (i have to know, i have been there recently :D - not as low as that but still low ^^)

I always put 2 pikes Infront of a gate. It didn't help me at all but it looked really cool like they were guarding the gate. 1 pike on the left side and 1 on the right side.

You start at 1000 elo

I'm just going to break it for you, but it is very likely to not be above the starting ELO.

The ELO system starts you right in the middle at 1000, so you'd need to be able to win against the exact average ladder player to be better than the starting rank. You will probably go down in your first few games but that's okay, think of it more like you're playing 5-10 placement games to find your personal starting ELO.

Yeah if it starts out at 1000 then yeah.... a few points over isn't going to happen 11

People also say that generally, maybe not exactly, the Extreme AI is a reasonable comparison to 1000 Elo. If you can compete against it evenly, you're probably about online average.

@Rohit Haha - It is based off of the wood cutters for the Indian Civ in AOE-2 and AOE-3. I also chop a lot of wood because I play archers a lot? LOLL

I don't care how long I play, I will always chop stragglers. They are wood right near your town center. And when you get them cleared, you have room for farms. Even if it is "better" not to chop them, it still irks me when the wood gets wasted because the trees get removed to build the farms without chopping all of it.

@@greywolf7577 I was just making reference to T90's infamous obsession. I'm not against straggler chopping myself. Often send my first lumberjack to a straggler, just to start clearing it out a little.

I'm conflicted as to whether it is better to start new players in the middle or at the bottom of the Elo. If you start them in the middle, then they have to lose a lot of games until they get to players at their skill level, which could make a lot of people give up on the game. However if you start them at the bottom, then every time an experienced player starts a new account, the lower Elo players will have to face off against players they can't take again. It's hard to figure out which is better.

Chose only one civ, become an specialist, and read about basic counter units for defense, select one type unit to attack and learn their weakneses. Play against the computer with radom civs. Practice the openings. Learn some hotkeys. I hope it helps.
