About the kayak sailor you criticizes maybe he has a sense of adventure just like you? I was out in my kayak one time and I heard a fat man say to his fat wife from his big fat boat "man it would take forever to get any where in that thing" I looked up and said, "I'm already there" ! I'm not sure he got my point.

Nice video but as you can tell from the comments, the initial remarks about paddle boat guy set a bad tone.

I hear you... but when you are paddling in a vessel that virtually did NOT show up on Radar or easily seen with a translucent sail, it is no different that riding a bicycle on the freeway. Sure you can do it... but is it safe or make any sense at all?

Did you find the markings for slow speed zones and where you can run easy enough? I was told that some signs are missing or either very small?

Enjoyed the video. Were you happy with the way the 420 handles and runs? Someone who fished offshore in one for a couple of years did not have a high opinion of how the 420 handles. They are extremely heavy boats so the 420 requires quad 350's to get it going while the Pursuit S 408 only needs triple 350's.

The boat hits rough water with a solid, heavy hit and the helm stays dry from spray without the assistance of the wind. Most Pursuits run the Yamaha 350s, not the Verados... right? I could see a Pursuit with triple 350 Yammis and Mercury Enertia Eco props running rings around this boat performance-wise, simply because Whaler has not updated their bottom technology in decades. I will say, the rigging is solid... and the build was easy to handle at all times.

To quote you. “I mean seriously?” Regarding the guy in the kayak and your questioning why someone would want to be on the ICW “in something like that?” Geeez he just wants to enjoy being on the water in something he can afford. While you pass him by in a $1.5 million boat burning $400 per hour in gas. I’m not disparaging you for having the means to afford your boat. But you should have a better appreciation for others who aren’t in your income bracket but still want to enjoy being on the water. Or were you bothered by having to slow down to pass him?
