Always loved the sound of my grandpas Suzuki 175, sounds awesome especially on dry land when we flush it. Love the noise when running out to the spot too. You’ll enjoy it!
@@Saltyscales I seriously love the sound, can’t wait till the water gets above 37 to go out on the boat here in Virginia. We can go out, but my grandpa prefers to only go out in the cold when we have the fish figured out so that we don’t waste our time in the cold, the waves get gnarly in the Chesapeake bay during winter. Going in reverse around the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel to back off of pilings and get unsnagged (it happens a lot when casting 1 and 2-3 ounce jigheads behind pilings and into rocks in heavy current, but if I catch fish a few of the jigheads that we make lost are ok. I guess the lost tackle is just a sacrifice to the fish gods, but the worst is when the bluefish bite all the lures in half since they get pretty dang big here
Wow Joshua, you and Chris did a fantastic job on the rebuild. I knew it would look nice when it was done but I didn't know how nice. Glad to see you have a mechanic that is knowledgeable and able to get you an engine in a reasonable amount of time. Can't wait to see her on the water. You both should have a lot of fun. Take Care and Be Safe. God Bless. ✝
I've been a Yamaha owner my entire boating life. The warranty, past issues and price played the majority of the decision. They are both Japanese motors unlike the Chinese Mercury.
@@Saltyscales I'm on the same page now and those factors are the same I considered to go for a Suzuki 300, now I just need to decide if I go with the dual or single prop. Thanks for the video!!
