That first story is absolutely sexual harassment and the whole "He likes you" bullshit is why that behavior continues when they get older. That jerk got exactly what he deserved.

First off older teachers and newer ones in using coaches need to understand that harassing another student, asking inappropriate questions, and physically trying to touch them isn’t “He likes you, Ignore it or suck it up.” That if done by an adult to another would have been sexual assault or harassment. Just because they are kids doesn’t mean they can’t learn to keep their hands to themselves.

first story: I will never encourage people to make up false stories, but i do applaud her ingenuity in getting him to actually pay for his crimes. and just for note, the reason i dislike false stories is that they can and will ruin people's lives. in middle school, i was friends with this one girl. well, she had a bit of a reputation for being loose (yes, even in middle school). well, she had a bit of a pregnancy scare. so she blamed me 'forcing' her. the only reason I wasn't charged is because i was basically comatose in the hospital with mono during the week she said it happened. she knew i had been in the hospital, but didn't realize that I was unconscious, on IV nutrition, and barely clinging to life at the time. the sentence i was facing? 5 years in juvie, registration on THAT list, etc. penalty i did receive? I was a social pariah in school until i dropped out the day i turned 18. literally everyone hated me, save for the 2-3 people that knew the truth. everyone else just assumed i had gotten off on a technicality. penalty she faced for lying and trying to lock me up? a $50 fine for falsification of a report. edit: btw, the 2-3 people that knew the truth were my cousin, my stepbrother, and my best friend, all of whom had visited me during my stay in the hospital. And I say 2-3 people instead of 3 because my cousin had a crush on her, so he was torn between believing her vs believing that I was actually just faking being unconscious.

So the first guy was a creepy stalker and the school did nothing about it. Oh I would have raised all kinds of hell if this was my daughter. The school board would have been made aware of the situation at this crappy school and he would be punished.

with the first story: after what he did that poor girl, I hope he get treated the same way he tried to her, and see if he likes grabbed in inappropriate places while in prison, in other words if he drops the soap, he's in for quite a wake up call from karma.

For the first story, I’m more angry at the teachers and the dean that I am at the bully, even though the guy was an absolute nightmare, and he deserve every bit of punishment he gets. If I was the girl, I was going to my parents about this and have them call a lawyer and sue the school for allowing this nonsense to go on for so long.

If this where to ever happen to my daughter I'd be confronting the school board should the school not do anything about this and have a lawyer getting involved on my kids behalf. Sexual intimidation/assault should be zero tolerance for schools.

what angers me is the fact that the gym teacher didn’t do anything and basically told op to suck it up and deal with it. No, absolutely not. That teacher should be fired for not doing their job. Last story: As a kid we stole beers from family members at cookouts when they weren't looking. We hated the taste but dude, we got really good at the theivery. When you can take the beer from someone's hands and get away with it you are bound to drink it. I still don't like beer to this day but I drink one every so often when I want to remember a time when my siblings and I didn't hate each other.

Here is why high school is so bad. I get punished for trying to help my grandmother not get scammed or hacked, and I am paper thin from not being able to take my umbrella to school. When I was around three years old my parents were having a little house party. My memory is a bit hazy, this is around 38 years ago and, well, I was three. What I do remember was waking up in the middle of the night and going downstairs to have a look at what was going on. My dad saw me and introduced me to some friends, then I asked what he was drinking. He had a pint glass with beer in it. He offered me a sip, which I took and instantly hated it, it was very bitter. Then he took me back to bed. Not a great story, but that last one reminded me of it.

As a person diagnosed as Autistic at 31 years of age, I totally understand the sensory issues, and the not trusting the potential hidden meaning of certain people. Biggest difference in experience I am a tall man, and the biggest trouble I had with bullies was when I lived in a school district where most of the kids were from the nearby reservation and they didn't like white kids, let alone (undiagnosed) Autistic white kids.
