Story #2: can totally relate. I had a campsite myself I spent like 5 hours on and my no longer friend griefed it AND all of the other buildings that I spent 6+ hours on EACH.
Story 1: The phrase "Not my problem" or "Not my job" just screams arrogance and laziness, not matter where you are. It would be a little different if you said something like "Not my line of expertise" or "Not my skill set" or something along those lines, but that guy just flat-out didnt want to do anything about it. Completely dismantling that Bradley was absolutely hilarious and the motor chief really shouldve seen something like this coming 10 miles away. Sometimes you have to do stuff like this to both get your point across and make sure things actually get done. Story 2: This was a major jerk move by the mother.... good way to potentially unalive the OP as a 6-year old. Can't you just learn to control your kids, or maybe hide the strawberries better? The OP was allergic to something in the detergents, so why not actually focus on that rather then your dumb strawberries. I'm sorry, but at someone that does have an allergy/sensitivity, your mom IS a terrible person for doing all of this. Story 3: Yeah, a lot of older people are sadly subject to a lot of scams like this.... it's a big reasons why places like banks, post offices, stores, etc. have a ton of warnings for scams like this. If you dont know the people directly, then do NOT send any money...not a single penny. At least the OP and brother weren't going to back down here and filed proper paperwork and complaints against this scammer. I know i would have too. Even after the OP got the dad his money back, i still wouldn't have withdrawn the complaint, i would've kept it ongoing and hopefully get this guy caught and arrested. Screw scammers! Story 4: Yeah, more often than not, suing is the biggest of empty threats.... especially by those people that have no legal leg to stand on. Don't people get that there are cameras everywhere nowadays? Also, i'm pretty sure it is a crime to impersonate a lawyer... much like how it is to impersonate a police officer. This guy was just trying to intimidate the OP. Sad really.
We shouldnt call them karens, because not all of them are named karen, and the people who arent disrespectful or rude, because they could still be named karen, we should just call them disrespectful people.
I always find things involving a “we didn’t see it, so we can’t do anything” reasoning doesn’t include murder, since 999 out of 1000 murders don’t get witnessed by cops. I once reported a guy for a traffic offense and I got the “we didn’t see it,” so there was no use to talk to me.

Story 3: some shoppers are delusional. I recall some really nutty videos from some years ago of people banging on doors demanding to be let into a store that was closed due to a violent riot one block over. And this was not people wanting to escape violence or anything, but just nutty people yelling because they want to shop.
Story 5: (tent) Sibkings and in-laws should understand. They’re at OPs house the child has to be within eyesight while they’re cooking and playing host. Keep your own kids occupied. If it’s going to be somewhere else? Great. They can make sure she’s okay and not in trouble. Story 6: Parents should reassure their future daughter in law. They know of her anxiety. Story 7: Boyfriend is an idiot.
The whole “sophisticated” name thing really sounds like early signs of toxic behavior. Like they’re slowly working towards toxic tactics like manipulating, guilt tripping, lying, etc. for the purpose of control and holding him back. As someone who grew up with toxic people like that I know a lot about their subtle early signs. They don’t sound bad at first but trust me, that’s just the beginning and they will get worse until it’s too late to put your foot down.
When she started talking about the party I would have looked her right in the face and said, "What makes you think you're getting a party? Did you already forget about last year? You're not getting anything."
The last story the narrator is in the wrong. The guy is a jerk because regardless of what he would have done. The girlfriend would have called him the jerk. Giving your ex a ride is not being a jerk. An the narrator is to blind to see that.
on the third story, I personally think this is a big mistake because, I have learned from experience, that if you put the screw-up in the will the most or make the decisions for a shared property, then that will end badly. So apart from leaving their son out of the will completely, they are making a mistake that will impact everyone. Advice for the last story: Find people who will love you. I have been through something similar, my sister (who was in 8th-9th grade at the time) shot herself, I was in 5th grade and this took the first strike on my mental health. Luckily in 7th grade I found my people. I am in 8th grade now and I have found a pattern, that about every other year (starting in 3rd grade) in November something like this will happen, 3rd grade - parents divorcing, we know what 5th grade was, 7th grade - I don't want to talk about it.
Story #1: All this, over a measly, little, three dollar increase in rent? Or did dude misspeak, and it's really a thirty dollar increase? Which isn't really that much either. And MULTIPLE foreclosures? How irresponsible can a person be? Story #5: I can relate. The first place that I rented was about 45 minutes to an hour away from the city that I grew up in. There were a couple times that I ran into people who said they wanted to move to where I was from. I could NOT just let them move there without letting them know how freakin' bad that city is! Especially when it comes to major, irreversible, crime!
I’ve been watching quite a few of this type of video, along with various “Karen” themed ones. They’re quite addictive! However, the storylines always portray the bad person as coincidentally having backward, “conservative” even “right wing” (gasp!) views. Somehow, they always manage to sneak that in. Jeez Louise, it’s like a conspiracy or something…🤔
Story 4: I think OP is a bit of the jerk, the situation could have been handled better knowing that you will have to live there. OP could have left a note on the cars to ask them to no longer use the garage or even contact him for clarification knowing the hail situation. What baffles me the most in the way OP got angrier thinking about the situation, they may need anger management, I can understand being annoyed at the situation but being steaming mad, total overreaction. Worst way to behave when you are about to move in this new neighbourhood. Edit: I am not saying that the neighbour was right to park there without authorisation, just that OP did overact.
