Compact John Deere Tractor 3 point hitch lever broke off due to rust. It's been hard to move it since I bought it 2 years ago, but it has been working....until it broke off.
Hello again. I am in the final stage of putting mine back together and my local dealer cannot get the tension washer. I noted that you made a washer but I'm not sure what material you used. Does it need to be rubber or just something flexible to work? Also did you use anything like gasket grip to hold the gasket on? Thanks for your help.
@@caeserofroam2241 I used a thick piece of shrink tubing to make the friction washer, I'm sure anything similar would work. I believe i used a little oil resistant gasket maker on the valve assembly to hold the gasket in place.
Thank you so much for your video I have a JD 3032 and the same thing broke on mine as well. I spent an hour trying to figure out how to even get to the other end of the bolt the guys at the local JD Dealer said it should not be too hard to replace LOL not telling me I have to take that whole sleeve out.
Thank you for the Video, I have a 3032 and my 60-yr old 120-pound wife broke the same thing. (In all seriousness we live in North Florida, and 80 hours on our tractor, always stored indoors and has never seen frost much less snow - I'm claiming material defect.) Ours broke past the spines closer to the housing. I was surprised our dealer had it all in stock, I'll attack it this weekend. I thought I would have to pull the wheel to get access, good to see I won't need to.
@@caeserofroam2241 It wasn't too bad of a job to do. Mine has been working perfectly...very easy to move the lever and the 3 point hitch goes up and down very smooth! I even was able to get a little more up travel that i needed for my stump grinder.
