Im a Protestant denomination in nagaland but i truely appreciate the catholics.they are the original Christians.

Bishop James Thoppil was my Principal in High School in Holy Cross School, Dimapur. Watching him here brings back nostalgic sweet memories. "Father James" as we fondly address him was one of best educationist I came across. May our alimighty God continue to shower His grace upon him.

Wr naga people are United and we no longer practice Headhunting it's long gone.

I think what we need to see is not which denomination you are, we need a God fearing, obedient and faithful believers. God sees only our heart. I'm a Baptist and I have seen many nominal Baptist Christians, and even Catholics or any other. And salvation belongs to the Lord. We need to open our eyes , or rather pray that you'll have an eye that looks at people the way how God sees them. I'm studying away from home and I don't see any different from an unbelievers when I look at the Nages. There are very few people who are truly a Christian irrespective of which denomination s/he is. I appreciate the Catholic Fathers and sisters who by sacrificing their lives for our people. I was also not happy with Catholics because of what others had put inside my head, but now as I grow mature physically, mentally and spiritually, I love them. I really appreciate their work. Let's not try to compete and compare by increase the number of members. Let us look to harvesting souls. This is the biggest concern. I'm not against Baptist or Catholics or any other, I'm against lies. We worship the Same True God. We are bodies of Christ. Let us not create distinction among ourselves. Let us unite and remain humble as servants of God. God bless everyone.

Dear Bishop, as a Christian I always thought you are supposed to present the correct picture of the Nagas and not bias because you belonged to India. Nagas are not fighting for statehood. If you aren't sure about the genesis of Naga political issue which is an international Issue should be left as it is if incase you don't want to say but not in a way demeaning the history of Naga people fighting colonial force. India forcefully invaded Nagaland when even though most of its part was out of the once British realm. In most of the areas we called ourselves Christian than denominations.

Christian Catholic is a minority religion in Nagaland. Most of us are Baptist.

As prevalent almost anywhere, Catholic church provides a systematic education institutions which we appreciate. I too did my schooling from the best girls convent LITTLE FLOWER SCHOOL. But I would also add that Nagas have made changes through Baptist Missionaries from America as well . the English language is the OFFICIAL language of the state as we have different Tribal dialects . Appreciate the review by the Bishop but it is very constrained presentation largely based on the 5% Catholic schools in the rural areas . even for 5yrs back. English is our Official language and the Missionaries from America Evangelised Christianity as well as impacted the education and schools and society.....

I'm a Naga and we don't practice headhunting anymore and Nagaland is 90% Baptist. Infact it has highest number of Baptist Christian in Asia. Catholics are minority maybe 5% and other Christians like protestant 5%

From paganism to the worst form of paganism

Naga's have their own culture and traditions. But due to spread of Christianity, brave Naga's failed to preserve their identities. Due to invention by external forces they they adopted religion of desert which is no way related to their tradition. The brave warriors of Nagaland must realise "WHAT IS OURS IS OURS". Long live Nagaland and seven sisters.

This Vedio only covered a part of kohima district where Catholic bishop mission extended not the whole area land of Nagaland, Now Naga people are maintaining modern standard living ,very modernised ,well educated. I think this vedio is taken only in remote area of Nagaland . These days many villagers are living in modern styled house ,they have modern cars etc. Especially in Mokokchung district ...and one will see many beautiful baptised churches all corner of Nagaland ..for us Nagas headhunting was gone story.

I am a Naga and I have never eaten a fly nor seen any Naga eat a fly .If he meant Grasshoppers then that's ok because we do but not flies 😂😂😂 .Not every Nagas eat dogs and not every Non Nagas doesn't eat dogs either because,we have seen Non Nagas also eat dog meat sometimes but ,the truth is dog meat ,it's something which Nagas also may not have even once a year also at times even by those who eats .There are no stray dogs in Nagaland because Dogs are a domestic pet and we love dogs as a pet and not for meat...... Regarding head hunting ,it's wrong when he said when tribal clashes happens sometimes we go back to violence . Violence in a sense ,the universal violence which every human will do impulsely but head hunting doesn't happen even when there is a tribal clash after Christianity.I wonder why such was said also .Even the video clippings ,some are not Nagaland.The sister calling us a happy people is true and her highlighting of the kitchen is so true ,she is probably someone who is truly in grassroot level with her whole heart because only someone like her with such sincerity will notice such details.. Nagaland 's Best education institutions are because of the Catholics and we are so grateful for that....just that flies part.... didn't like .
