Very good explained. The pain with this 100-240Volt power supplies is, that the fuse is more and more useless on higher voltages, because it will trip too late. Thats the reason, why faulty power supplies are seriously damaged before the fuse tripped if they used on 230V.

you are right. the basic issue that the fuse used in these circuits is slow blow type T series (Time Laging fuse) , because a quick arcing F series fuse cannot be used because the power supplies have inrush circuits, so f series fuse have no tolerance. then the T series fuse is used which causes to give the delay during startup inrush but in case of over current, it delays as well so the circuit damages and fuse remains serviceable

Hi sir, i have a problem with power supply adp-160cr. On bulk capacitor there is only 310V (ac input is 237v so dc should be 335vdc). The standby voltage is only 4.65V also acin_det is 0V. I short acdc_stby to 4.65v but psu not giving 12v. Maybe i have issue in bridge rectifier? Why is my standby dc only 310V? Also after mains switch off 310V goes to 10V within 5 minutes automatically. Very fast discharge.

Dear frind. I have a trouble. please help me. The fuse of my PSU has been blown and my ntc thermistor only has 4 ohms. Could this be the cause? If so, I would like to replace the ntc thermistor, but my ntc doesn't say anything about it. Which ntc should I buy? Thank you very much.

please check more component like bridge, MOSFET ntc is normal. most of the time it is 5D, TO 10D (5 means 5 ohms 10 for 10 ohms) (first digits before alphabet is ohmic value) please read the number and point to be noted that its resistance changes with temperature rapidly we can say from from very low resistance to more than it's nominal value. (check at 25 deg)

Hi brother.I am having a problem with my ps4 power supply not giving me 12v. I am getting 5v standby but when I switch power on I dont get 12v. What component should I start testing first. Or if you know what can be wrong.please brother.

is it adp-200ER check voltage on main DC capacitor it must be 410 volt (when power on command is applied). if voltage are just 300+ in case of 220 or 160 in case of 110 volt. then check off circuit mainly failure in MOSFET & rectifier in pfc section if it creates 400+ vdc at bulk capacitor then go to verify both mosfets in 12v stage. both mosfets in output side of 12 v transformer's secondary
