thx for the video mate. so as far as i understood r1, r5, the diode RBQ20BM65A , the mosfet sdt3n62k3 and the 43 kohm resistors are the most common parts which go bad? what are the values of r1 and r5? does DAP041 needs to be PQGL or can i use i.e. PYFH?

Like watching these kind of videos hopefully my psu don't give me any issues in the future I believe these PS4 pro psu's are over 100$

My R5 Resistor (PS4 Pro CUH-7215B ADP-300FR) has a 5th color which is orange (brown, blue, silver, gold, orange). No calculators have that order listed as a possibility - so I can't get any info unless I select orange as the 3rd color (not 5th). Is this the same as the ones on these PSUs? If not, do you have any info regarding it?

Hi Alpha Bravo Tech, I am about to fix my power supply for the PS4 Pro, I am sure have to change de resistor 0.16ohm,the one you changed in the video. unfortunally it's nearly impossible to get a resistor of 0.16 ohm in the Netherlands, where i am from. I read in the reactions and there you stated that all are good up to 20 ohm. So really just 1 ohm, 2 ohm 3 ohm, and so on till 20 ohm, should do? And wat wattage should i use? Hey so I guess a roach blew up my psu and I bought a new one off of amazon and replaced it then once I plugged it my PS4 started up but less than 2 minutes later the new psu burned again! What could it be I was thinking it was the plugs where the psu goes

My psu has an issue that none of your videos seem to have and I was wondering if you've experienced it off-camera. Fuse and resistors seem fine and voltage stays at 5v, but as soon as I 'short' the left connectors to check the 12v on the prongs, it'll show 12v But then it'll start going down quickly. If I check the 5v side it also is going down. No burn marks or anything heating up, I'm not sure where to look. Thank you.

Can use this Resistor with value of 5W 0.15ohm 5% (0R15) or this one Resistance 2W 0.1ohm 5% (0R1). Thanks

Loud pop came from my Pro while in standby. No longer powers on; sometimes will beep/momentary blue light. Pulled out the PSU and nothing smells and board looks mint. Missing 5 volt power on both pins. Checked all caps, diodes and resistors and all test good. Mosfets maybe? I'm new at component level repair and just looking for some guidance. Thanks

Hello. Have you tried to replace the R5 resistor with a cable only for testing purposes? I see that the necessary resistance is extremely low and being a safety component I think I could temporarily replace it with a wire just to test the rest of the circuit, what do you think of this?

What does it mean if I have 12v on the output prongs when I put my meter leads in, before I have even jumped the pins on the connector?? My stand by voltages are present in the connector as well 5v each.

Good evening, a question: I am a do-it-yourself repairer, and I have the problem that on this power supply, the 150MF 450V "C2" electrolytic was BROKEN. I replaced it and also replaced the 100MF 450V C1. I actually put them both from 150MF 450V. When the consol is restarted this time the C1 is BLASTED. What could have caused such a failure? Can the 4 pin connector that goes from the power supply to the mobo go bad too? I messed up, after repasting thermal, and getting the ps4 back together. I placed the two big plug looking things together of the mobo into one slot of the psu. Instead of each one been put into one slot and it shorted :/ . I re did the trace that got burnt on the psu. But the white 4 pin connector wire looks burnt, a bit shade of black. The ps4 started fine just whenever i start a game it would shut off after a minute. Now it just beeps once, the blue light turns on but then shuts off.

Your video was great. I was able to fix the power supply to get 5v and standby 5v. But when I shorted standby and detect voltage, 12v showed up for a second and started dropping along with the 5v. I replaced dap046, dap012ah, and diodes. Do you know what could cause this?

in ps4 also check the power ic .. its smd in the back .. but be ware the board is so west for hotair .. it makes bubles on high tempreture good luck

Based on color coding R5 is 16,8 ohm rezistor (braun, blue, silver, gold => 168*0,1), not 0,16, but as you said anything below 20 ohm should be fine
