I love this ink, it’s my favourite blue black alongside Sailor Shimoyo. I prefer it in a fine nib, because then it conserves the crispiness and the saturation much better. Maybe give it a try in a finer nib?

This was and is still my fav blueblack. Sadly I experienced it being more dry, even in „normal“ pens with hard starts and skipping. It wasn’t the pens. Still loving the color though ☺️ You paired it with a gorgeous pen! Very nice

Thanks for sharing! It is a lovely ink. I wonder how well these inks fare against potential evaporation. Do they start writing drier like you described, or could something else be the reason why the ink behaves differently?

@@lifeinspiresdesign good point! I experienced the dryness immediately when I inked up the pen (it was my testing ink, because I love the color )- but! You made me thinking- perhaps the sample was too old (I have the oldest 6 months in my drawer…) and I should toss the sample and go straight to the bottle. I bought always big 6ml samples before I discovered the small bottles of Pilot 😅

This ink is beautiful! Unfortunately I am not able to use it as much as I like, as it only looks good on the best of papers. On stuff that resists feathering but doesn't show off ink qualities, it is a rather "meh" looking grey-blue.

Ah, I can picture it losing much of its complexity and sheen on more absorbent papers. I'd imagine brighter, more saturated blue inks would probably outshine this one in such a situation.
