31 Days of Lei: Alena 

While you may recognize Alena as a Guest Service Agent in Honolulu who always has beautiful pua (flower) in her hair, you might not realize that she grows lei materials in her backyard. The now empty-nester is transforming her property into a lei garden, using the leaves and flowers to create special gifts for her hula hālau. Her years of experience has also led her to become a judge at the annual Lei Contest. For #31DaysofLei, this is her story.
