Before watching this video, I had confusion in this regular expression concept. Now I have completely and clearly understood this concept Thanks telusko🤝
Thanks for such a wonderful video.quality content and that too free. one thing i want to point out that dot has to be escaped when used outside square brackets. inside square bracket it is not needed.
Hi brother, your class is very easy to understand... This class makes me very happy that how to give regular expression for an Email id.... Thanku so much brother.....
Sir firstly, I want to say your way of teaching is superb and so cool. An illiterate learner can easily catch all that line. Sir, "." after @ used in the regular expression is not validating correct mail! this kind of email --> abc@abcd, showing VALID is this right??? var regex= /^([a-zA-Z0-9\.-]+)@([a-zA-Z0-9-]+)\.([a-z]{2,8})(\.[a-z]{2,8})?$/ ; please reply :)
For the . that you have been putting between ( )( ) shouldn't you be putting a \ before it because without a \ ,even abc@google@com works just fine. but we need it to be .com right? That's what I got. Correct me if I am wrong.
Can I ask, I know that if u use in input type="email, so than it will be automaticly corrected you if u make it wrong, and dont use the corect brand for email.?
Hello bro I have been watching u series its very good as in this video In the email validation I have found one issue in reg ex that (ex: abc@gmail) is also showing valid so I did some changes in reg ex and it working for me now
One update here "@([a-zA-Z0-9-]+).([a-z]{2,20})" there shouldn't be only dot (.) between these two parts, instead it should be (\.) now , as i tried only with dot(.) it wasn't working but I tried (\.) it worked.
hi i watched all your tutorials till now in this tutorial i have little bit confusion i am creating the two regression expressions for one is for roll no validation and other is for mail validation but calling in same functions but its not working so kindly guide me i have searched on google and many more
Make also a Password validation regEx Also a way to validate the pattern (of any kind like name, number, email etc) as the user is typing, so the input will be invalid unless and until the pattern is matched, how to do that?
You mean you want to hide and unhide textboxes based on which radio button is selected right? It's simple. We have already seen how to use radio buttons. So keep the textboxes hidden in the start by using the visibility attribute as hidden. When a radio button is selected, change the visibility attribute of the respective textbox to visible ✌️
Good catch.! but just a guess while you validate expressions you divide it into parts and then you change either to caps or small according to your code while you take from user
For the final RS, if we type only abc@gmail, it is giving valid as the answer, though it should be invalid na? How is it happening and how can we resolve it?
the hyphen is sort of like a range thingy so when you type in a-z the compiler(/editor) can read it as all letters(/alphabets) from 'a' to 'z' (in lowercase). If you want you can read it as a to z (better for understanding) :)
Nice tanmay sir! but this RE is not working properly for email. If we remove dot from email then still its showing valid. I think this one is working proper.. /^([a-zA-Z0-9\.-]{4,10})([@][a-zA-Z-]{3,10})([\.][a-z]{2,10})$/ well thank you for good explanation!
