Dirk Benedict was played up as the playboy but I always preferred Richard Hatch. Ironically, Benedict had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in the early 80s and I thought he was going to be lost early but he's still going strong.

I still prefer the original over the reboot. Lorne Green could have been anyone's grandfather, Dirk Benedict was a badass, and Jane Seymour was gorgeous.
Richard lynch died in his home in Yucca Valley. Their not sure which day he died on because he lived by himself and was found by a good friend. The house was kind of rual on several acres maybe, , its in the higher desert, i saw the house for sale afterwards. Kind different style house on the cool side. I seem to remember you had to bring water onto the property
