Hi Granny Pat! I caught up with you today and I want to offer you some words of encouragement. You are touching lives in ways you do not even realize. Thanks to hearing about Sea Brook Island in one of your videos, my husband and I just returned from a week long vacation where we celebrated 30 years of marriage. I had the time of my life! We saw the dolphins during the 6am sunrises, walked the beaches, rode bikes in the most beautiful, shady streets and we enjoyed every single minute of our trip. I can't wait to return! So thank you, your stories are interesting, valuable, and inspiring. (I had never heard of Sea Brook) This was the perfect place for me as I have serious back and hip issues, so walking on the beach is something I thought I had to give up. Not here! The flat sand made it all possible. You are making a difference in the lives of others. Even on the gloomiest days, YOU are a ray of sunshine.
@@dellashaw2519 Bless your ❤️ . I am so glad you went to Seabrook Island. It is my favorite vacation spot. Like you, I can walk on the beach! Wish I could afford to own one of the villas. Also, it’s close enough to Charleston to visit every day. I hope you got to cross the bridge to Mt. Pleasant. If not, maybe next time.
Granny Pat, congratulations on the 320th video! The copper cleaning trick is magical. I will share it with my family. I often use the tricks you show while in the kitchen. For example, I now peel the eggs by tossing them around in a bowl first to crack the shells ( learned this technique in your potato salad recipe video; also made the salad with my garden grown veggies - it was delicious). Please don't be upset if you feel that less people are watching your videos in summer months. Watching your videos is a delight for many. I am sure many viewers, like me, will watch missed videos eventually. Sometimes I get busy with errands and cannot watch your newest episodes immediately, but I always go back and make sure I don't miss anything! Stay positive! You are very dear to us!
Pat, you are such a delight!!! I always enjoy visiting with you before I go to bed. You are so comforting and entertaining! I sleep v well after visiting with you. Thank you!❤❤😂
When my peppers are getting a little old, I chop them up or sliver them and put them in a freezer bag and freeze them. You do have to blanch them or anything. Then when a recipe calls for peppers, you have them! Of course, for salads, you only want the freshest, crunchiest and best! Love you Granny Pat!❤😊😊😊
Wow...I still have a couple of those pans too.. they need to be cleaned so I am going to try that. One can always learn new things. I am 73yrs. Never knew ketchup could do that. So totally cool. Thank you so much. Granny Pat. Pat..huggs and God bless. Bonnie H. In Michigan. 🤗🌹🌹
I’m glad to see you back in the kitchen cooking up something good! 😋Looks delicious!❤Yes ma’am, I got a few pieces at my wedding shower back in 1961! I finally got a new set of cookware several years ago! I have several pieces of the Blue Cornflower Corning Ware that I received at my shower! I love Corning! & Revere ware!
Granny Pat, your daughter is right. You'll likely see slumps in viewership when seasons change, kids are preparing to go back to school or graduate and even holidays. Just remember, we're still here, as so many commentors and your subscribers have written here. Life may take us away, but we love you and we'll be back and hungry to hear a story or watch you make another pretty dish that will get us into our own kitchens. I have your books, but nothing beats hearing you read a few paragrahs or a story, here. You're loved and appreciated! ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
My mother cooked so much in her electric fry pan, she even took it with us when we took trips. She was known to cook spaghetti in motel rooms in that fry pan😂👍very fond memories❤ love and hugs to you Pat!
Hi! Wow that’s amazing! I’m definitely going to try that. I’m always looking for ways to clean my stuff. Making them shiny & looking new again. Thank you! Those are my favorite onions. 🧅 I add those into my homemade Italian spaghetti sauce. You have such great ideas. I learn something new everyday. I’m 58. It’s great to learn something new everyday. Great story. My daughters will have fun learning new recipes. Especially for the holidays. We can continue our traditions at their houses. 🏠 🏠🥰🥰🥰🫶🫶🫶💋💋💋🌟🌟🌟
Hello sweet Granny Pat!! I am so amazed how the ketchup cleaned the copper bottom of the pans!! I will sure be using that from now on! I love watching your videos! Thank you so much for bringing a little bit of joy to our world!! ❤
Good evening granny Pat thank you for all the stories that you tell, when I was young child my grandparents would tell stories and I miss that. take care and see you when you tell wonderful stories
The expired stuff I’ve chucked out…some things were almost a decade old! Love seeing the space, though. Filled my recycling bin with jars and flatten cans and plastic salad dressing bottles. What a waste of money! I have also noticed that pots used for making spaghetti sauce clean up nicely.
Loved the story about Emma ❤who knew ketchup would clean those pots, great tip! The onions are perfect for onion rings and the roasted veggies look delicious 😊
Your hair looks wonderful and your face is so pretty. I also watch Acre Homestand, she is quite the chef and gardner. Thank you for all that you give to us.
Hi Granny Pat, Congratulations on your 320th RU-vid Show! I certainly learned something surprising from you while watching this one! I have cleaned a LOT of copper bottom Revere Ware pots and pans over the years, as my Mom used to have hers hanging over the stove; however, I NEVER heard of using ketchup as a cleaning agent...That was amazing to watch! The acid from the tomatoes in the ketchup really did the trick! I ordered two of your books the other day and cannot wait to dive into them...I KNOW they will be great! I have to agree with you about watching TV...I too, no longer watch TV much either. If I do, I watch old programs that we enjoyed years ago...For the most part, I would rather watch you and some other programs on RU-vid that are also my favorites. Keep watching for the "sun" to shine... Pam Kirkwood Burbank, CA
@@pamkirkwood Thank you so much! CA to me is like another country. It’s so far away. Always wanted to visit. There are many good utube channels, and so much to learn.
This was so nice to see, I think you're just the best!! You make my days so often. Hope you realize how many people just wait for your next shows!! Take care, stay safe, and sending much love! 😊❤
Hi Granny Pat, your video brought me comfort this evening as my husband had to go to work and it's a rainy night due to the hurricane. Please don't get discouraged by youtube numbers, think of how many people are here and like me also watch older videos. It's true summer views may slow down but people will be back. I got behind during a trip to Maine or sitting outside reading, but now with this bad weather, I'm catching up! Well wishes, - Rebekka
Hello Ms. Granny Pat. Glad to see you today. You've covered a lot of topics for today & also a story. I just love your chit chats. Just don't get discouraged about the drop off of the subscribers. A few might be on vacation. I'm be tuning in for the long haul. Also I will try to send you some subscribers. I like the color of your kitchen also I like the large space. Thanks 4 showing us how you cleaned the bottom of your pots. You never get too old to learn something. Your dinner of cauliflower & carrots sounds delicious along with a salad. Well hope you will be able to take your trip to wherever you desire to go. I enjoyed the long video. Take care. Have a pleasant weekend. From Texas. ❤ 🥰
I recently cleaned out my stock of old canned goods and spices too..I feel so bad throwing stuff out. I'm going to start doing a written inventory ntory of what I have on hand at all times so I don't buy duplicates of same items. Cleaning frig is always fun too...jam 3 yrs old , etc.
Your greenware is very beautiful! Yes gotta clean out the cans every once in a while. Yes been dreaming of a big kitchen with an island too! Hoping in a few years get to buy a house with one finally at 60 sumthin.
Hello, granny Pat! I absolutely love your content! My sweet grandmother was from Jackson Kentucky, and she would have loved watching your content as well. ❤
Wow, of all the times I've used pots & pans, and talked to other cooks, there was never a mention about cleaning copper bottoms on pans with ketchup. I'm astounded. What a deal! Thanks for sharing, Granny Pat. 😊☕
This is the 2nd show I watched on your channel. I enjoyed both of them. Some recommendations on good podcasts in my opinion are the following: Becky’s show, she is a homesteader and cooks/bakes wonderful dishes; Sensus Fidelium, really enjoy Father Ripperger’s conferences/homilies, Kennedy Hall Mere Tradition, lots of interesting information. Hope you have a blessed week ahead!
Congratulations on #320! The roasted cauliflower and carrots look delicious! Today I purchased Make Mine the Blue Plate Special. I look forward to receiving it, reading it, and making peanut brittle.😊 Linda, Boynton Beach, FL.
Thank you for the tip on cleaning my Rever Ware pots. I will try it today. Mine are my husband's grandmother's. They were wedding gifts to her in 1940. I wish those pots could talk They would have stories!
I never knew you could do that with ketchup. I'm going to try it, thank you so much. I've tried vinegar, lemon, and baking soda. But your method is better!
Granny Pat steam cooked cauliflower after it’s done add Sour cream and cheese it’s delicious. Have you tried cauliflower rice that’s from the frozen section and just microwave for 5 minutes in the bag a it’s ready it is just plain with no seasoning . I then add The sour cream and cheese. Give it a try it’s delicious and easy
💙DEAR PAT, I JUST DISCOVERED YOUR RU-vid CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBED. YOU ARE A BIG BLESSING TO MANY AND WILL ENJOY HAVING YOU IN MY LIFE. THANK YOU GOD BLESS❣️DEBBIE
@@sharonedwards-kk1pd Thanks! Numbers have slowed down. Maybe it’s the summer vacation time. Utube has been taking away instead of adding to. Can’t figure it out!
Hi Granny Pat! I appreciate you so much. Great video. I had no clue that Jadeite glowed in the dark. They are pretty dishes. Your roasted veggies looked really yummy. Hey kudos on your kitchen and it looks nice. Nice to get herbs and spices in order. Also, I did not know you could clean copper with ketsup. Great job and hands are clean when finished. Nice tip. Good to see you. You have a great Thursday. Yes, TV is full of not good things to watch. Enough said. God bless our Country. We all need to pray. Hugs to you, sweet friend. Nancy from IN.😊❤
I pulled my back out at work Monday night lifting my Client. And I really messed myself up. I’m SO thankful you made a video. It relaxes me & makes me happy. Thank you for time Granny Pat. 🙏❤️ p.s. That green pepper 🫑 hack is just one thing that help’s so many of us! Also cleaning the Copper pot w/ ketchup 😮 I had no idea!
@@mrsg.9273 You can use the little KFC cups for other veggies cut in half. I was amazed at how much longer my green pepper lasts. Even works for onions cut in half.
I have Revere Ware as well! Some of my pans belonged to my mother and she cleaned her copper bottom pans every time she used them (daily). She had a container of Kleen King right on her kitchen counter next to her dish soap. That's quite the tip using ketchup.
Oh my! Thank you, thank you for your demonstration on how to clean the Revere wear with Ketchup!! I also have 2 pots and your method is easier than mine!👍❤
I think your roasted veggies turned out beautiful! And I bet they were delicious too! Thanks for taking so much time to share your experiences and your wisdom with us❤️ Anne from California PS I hope you have Air Conditioning in this heat!
You are a delight to watch Granny Pat, my views have slowed down at the moment so you’re not alone, I wish I had as many subscribers as you 😀. Your fantastic, keep going 😘 xx
Ohh my! That was just great, using the catsup on the revere-ware…I have some and love them. I’ll be cleaning the cooper bottoms tomorrow. Thank you Pat. ❤
I’ve enjoyed you today. I went to bed early last night. I Loved the story about Sweet Sweet Emma! What a Sweet Soul! The copper cleaning is a good one. You know Granny Pat I’ve been worrying about my memory lately. I’ll be glad when the weather cools and feel a little more normal. I will get out and walk more. I’ve had trouble eating right. Your veggies sure look good. I think We all Worry about the Shape Our World is in. I try not Dwell on it, but you can’t help but wonder. I just try to Keep a Positive Attitude!!! Take care! ❤️😘🐝! Hello Granny Pat, I just found your channel and I’m so very happy I did! I’m a 53 yr old woman who left a very rewarding policing career and now onto a different path. I have always wanted to start my own RU-vid channel but have allowed fear etc to get in the way…I too am a story teller & have a few books on Amazon. I just want to thank you for the inspiration and inviting us into your life ❤
@@debbiemcgreal-dinning7738 I knew nothing, but my granddaughter was computer savvy and set me up with my own channel. I’m still learning. Go for it! Find someone knowledgeable to get you started. You will enjoy RU-vid.
@@chitchatwithgrannypat7900 thank you for the encouragement! Did you have a specific idea about what you wanted to share, I have so many ideas and then I get distracted. My son is in film school and has his own channel so no excuses there 😊. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my earlier comment.
@@debbiemcgreal-dinning7738 I started with a few recipes in the kitchen then told simple stories as I thought of them. You should start with a plan. Categorize your subjects - an outline. This will keep you from repeating stories. My stories are all mixed up.
That ketchup trick is fantastic!! I will definitely be doing that! And the trick about freezing green pepper in ice cube trays is so smart! Thank you! But oh boy I was nervous when you were cutting that carrot! I would surely slice my finger tip off on that blade! Anne from California
