Today Marcus drives a 2012 Volkswagen Golf R that's been tuned to the owner's liking.
The headlights and taillights have been modified and switched to match the Euro-spec model. The engine cover is from an Audi TT RS with a custom R badge to complete the look.

mk4 R32 makes 240hp, not 200. You were talking about a regular GTI. Weird how you didnt catch that. good content non the less...find a nice e30 plz

I was about to comment on that lol. My mk5 r32 makes 304whp with cams and tune. Stock it made about 240

LikeABosnian even that's high for crank numbers hes confused or high. Check my picture I have a mk4 r32. Ecu flash, cams, headers, high flows cats milltek exhaust, intake. I hit 199 stock and 230 to the wheels with mods. This dude is high if he thinks he's over 300hp.

its stock at 270hp here in norway, and comes with dsg tranny optional. why a difference? 310-320hp with. ecu tune. got my black edition today, will be a blast with a ecu tune🏎👍

I really like this review but i think stage 2 at the crank is on the very low side lol I had an Mk6 Golf .:R that was stage 1 w/ full bolt-ons and was about 300 whp, stage 2+ is about 330 whp

+immoralityMR2 Not too loud, especially when you're in boost. I adjust the exhaust audio separately from my voice so we can basically make the quietest of cars sound really loud or vice versa. I try and keep it true to how it was. Outside the car though at WOT it gets pretty loud.

Sorry bud but you best generation not at all best generation is a mk2 with a vr6 swap mk2’s are badass look them up mk2 gti’s with r32 swap or vr6 swap sorry I’m old school new Vw are bubble lookn cars I’ve been in the Vw seen since I was 16 I’m now 39 mk4 r32 is the best as far as r32s go

Golfs unreliable? I live in Australia and own the very same mk6 R and they are reliable as ever. I have owned subarus and every japanese car under the sun and they all gave me problems. There are so many golfs in Australia because they are so reliable.

If you like the MK6 R, you should drive the MK7 one. Seems like they put the MK6 in the dirt.

Ur specs are way off the mk5 r32 has 250 bhp not 200 and mk6 stock is 270 bhp not 256

I know this is old & looking thru the comments, I didn't see anything...what brand are the downpipe & exhaust 🤔? It did seem to be what I would like, not too raspy, just enough. ECS has a real cool😎 carbon fiber cover, I brought one & it fits on perfectly.

You need a well sorted MK2 gti or an older scirocco on this show. Not stance nation but 1.8T swap, good suspension maybe an LSD.

Hey trucks are great . Everybody should get one for when they need a truck once a year to help their friend move! Forget spending money on something that gets great gas mileage, and is one of the best commuters you will ever drive. Waste gas and buy a truck !

Yeah that's what's up, awesome video! Affordable, everyday enthusiast cars is booming business. In Europe these GTI's and R's are selling like hotdogs. Got my ass (s4 b5) kicked by a Golf 5 "30 Jahre edition", he was pushing 391 whp with a diff, crazy what these 2.0T's can do nowadays...
