On the 11th and 12th May 2024, THNSW locomotives 3265 and 3525, with 4501 assisting at the rear. doubleheaded an excursion train west over the Blue Mountains to Katoomba and Mount Victoria. The train then continued onto the Clarence Colliery loop where it was turned for its return trip.
The rain set in on Saturday but eased a lot on Sunday, so most of the shots in this coverage were taken on Sunday's run.
