That young German boys were allowed to tear off her clothes and beat her with sticks. I've seen plenty of revolting images from the Holocaust but this one makes my blood run cold. Such a stark and awful image.
The Paper Mache heads were designed so that snipers' locations could be found, as they posed a threat to soldiers in the trenches. They would work by that the head would be raised over the parapet, sometimes with a lit cigarette in its mouth and the sniper would shoot the head. They would then use the angle and direction of the bullet hole to find the location of the sniper and flush them out
Well, it's not that terrible.. I mean, that same Nazi Ukraine still exists today, only that you are told on the news that Putin is a Nazi. Think about who you support and whether you know how and why the war in Ukraine started.
For those not in the know, people look more disturbed in older photos because they have to hold still, not blink or flinch as they pose. This can take up to several minutes. My mother and I have over 80 years experience in the photographic arts field. We restored photos up to and including using Macs with Photoshop. The industry changed to make it impossible for the profession to continue. Photo Labs built in the 60' and so on have all but died as digital took over analogue.
Some of these photos are nerve jangling, but the Jewish woman fleeing in her corsets; I've seen more like this from World War ll and I find them terrifying. Her fear is so distressing it hurts.
@@mootrade4558 Sorry, what is the holodomor - PLEASE don't tell me it's some sort of 'The Holocaust never happened' thing, because you'll get bloody short shrift from me if it is!
The newspaper prediction is pretty cool. Imagine having a thought like that and over a hundred years later, it comes to fruition. Pretty wild. People probably thought he'd lost his marbles.
yes that was absolutely heartbreaking!! We can probably guess they killed her. People can act and be so disgusting. Thanks be to God that they do not go unpunished.
This video has got to be some of the creepiest pix I've ever seen-for once the title actually fits the video! Most videos with these kinds of titles are clickbait...loved this! The ventriloquist really got me...YIKES!!!
The woman running is a difficult image to see. Who was standing there taking a picture of a woman half naked running for her life with 20 crazies chasing after her? That one is the most disgusting shocking image but the Halloween costumes of the 30s was my favorite image or the most creepy. I’ll probably have nightmares about those giant heads for months.
What I I find extremely disturbing is the fact that there is a person standing by on the side lines TAKING A PHOTO of a woman who has a bloody nose and running for her life . Smh!! It is diabolic .
@@watchingnwaiting5264 no its not. you can see her left elbow, no blood on her clothes. what you see is her torm shirt wrapped around her left fist. and you can see the fabric streaming back from her arm
The Jewish woman running for her life in her underwear sickened me. That boy participating was the worst thing to me. At his age he should be riding bicycles with his friends, climbing trees, etc... not trying to beat a woman to death. The banality of evil....
Understand the holodomor Then you will understand that picture better. Her people were responsible for the death of 10 million ukrainians. And now ask why you didn't know of the holodomor.
@@mootrade4558 I thought she was Jewish? I haven't looked at the picture, just read the comments. I don't think I want it in my brain. She was Russian?
The ventriloquist dummy is confusing me the small one which I would think is the dummy has a very realistic child’s hand. The larger one, you would think it’s the human as it’s bigger and holding the other ones arm but why is it’s head so big and deformed?
No you wouldn't. You'd be beaten to death by the mob alongside her. The locals supported this barbarism, even celebrated it. Jews in these places were often part of the rich upper classes prior to the war and were accordingly hated. The same resentful spirit that envigorates the social justice ideologues of today was at work in the minds of those you see in the picture.
@@rickycamerillo4329 It was not only Ukraine… There were a lot of Nazi cheerleaders in the US prior to WWII, if it wasn’t for Pearl Harbour, today the world might have looked very different, let's just thank the Japanese for tilting the US in the right direction.
Two I wish I hadn't seen. (1) The women running for her life because she was Jewish. (2) The man in the casket with his ventriloquist doll. His eyes were wide open. That picture isn't equal to the horror of the running Jewish woman. But the open eyes scared me.
@Rose the Victorians never painted eyelids. That is a myth. They also didn't pose the dead to appear alive. When a loved one died, family bathed and dressed the decedent then laid them in repose in a bed or coffin, THEN the photographer went to the home and took a photo.
Maybe he had inside information as I have been finding out that our government has a lot of secret patents from the Nazis. Or maybe some other secret technology that has been hushed up. Nothing is as it seems.
The last photo is quite disturbing,i mean why would anyone want a corpse in their home ,walk about with it and sit at the dinner table, why wouldnt these people just dig a grave and lay their families to rest so bizarre and creepy
Because of their ancestral social practices. Today, we find it disturbing, to them, it was "normal" and acceptable. Likely they would consider our treatment of the dead to be equally disturbing and downright disrespectful.
Because that home was the deceased person's home as well, and they are a loved one. People still have home wakes and it's 100% legal in all 50 states and her territories. I have never seen a funeral in Ireland in a funeral home. They wake at home regardless of money. Several other countries still wake at home. When it's your loved one, the creepy vibe usually isn't there.
In actuality when i was relocated to phx AZ- there was a company that actually offered a corpse taxidermy (ied?) whole body and some just the head(s) of the deceased for quite a bit of $$$$$$. It was more than bizarre - Napolitano was governor back then and supposedly was approached by this company to offer her a deal. I read it in the New Times magazine. So creepily repulsive- they actually had pictures front page of a stuffed” seated grandmother “ and her family members standing around and inside the magazine their were 2 heads mounted on a wall of a rich guys son/daughter that had died in a car crash. They looked AWFUL…. Perhaps i’m the weird one- for thinking it was weird. The grandmothers fam described putting the stuffed body??- in a closet for “preservation” and did state there was an odor emanating from the corpse. Ugggh. To each his own i guess.
Makes me wonder if the photographer was taking the picture for history or maybe the photographer was laughing and cheering the Vile creatures attacking the woman, capturing the woman's fear and disbelief as to what's happening! I still find NO KIND, in mankind! 🙏🏴🇬🇧
At the rate we're going, I can easily see this happening again soon. I think we are about to reach the pinnacle of evil. God is in control and the wicked ones will pay with their souls.
Clowns used to be funny. Somewhere along the time of "It" and Gacy, they became scary. Now we are supposed to think drag queens are entertaining instead of scary.
@@Cojo910 Drag is for adults, not for kids. The kids don't go to drag shows on their own, they're taken by adults, so blame those adults not the drag queens. Maybe the Santas in stores who sit children on their laps are scarey too then?
Living with your familys corpse is so wrong i cant imagine the smell of rotting flesh at the dinner table.and them Halloween costumes gosh i wouldnt answer my door to them.and as for the woman running for her life the horror on her face life back then is just not fair im so glad the law has changed in a big way 😭
All photos are striking. And I love your choice of music. I can't pick my favourite photo. The most horrifying is the woman chased by Ukrainians in 1941 with kids' participation. Ukrainians reportedly butchered some 10,000 Poles and Jews in one day Lvov with brutality and cruelty that left the German Gestapo and SS aghast.
The little Victorian girl being held by someone draped in cloth behind her had sadly died. as was the picture of the little girl with her grandparents the man was propping the child up. This was common practice to take pictures of loved one's to make them look still alive. thank you for sharing the collection of interesting photo's
But, not always! Due to how long a photo took they often had the mother sit under a drape to help hold the child still long enough so the photograph wouldn’t be blurred.
Momento mori. Photos were excessively expensive at that time so rarely did anyone ever have photos of them or their families until one of them died. Normally, Victorian era photos tended to portray people as grim and ill humored however, they had to be able to hold a position for several minutes whilst the photo formed on the plate. Even so, people today would likely be far more grim than people actually were in that era due to the high mortality rates then as compared to now.
The only real horrible photo was of this woman been haunted, humiliated and violated by these cowards in Lvov. I felt so bad for all these rats that have been killed, they’re sweet intelligent animals
The wild ones are not sweet. They caused the black plague. I have had pet rats so agree that bred rats are fabulous pets. 😊sorry had to edit it wasn't the rats but the fleas they carried.
No way! The dog was a good boy, doing his job well in order to keep the enemy at bay. Wild rats have been known even recently to my granddaughter’s friend to kill off a whole litter of pups, to chew off fingers and toes from babies, and to give incurable deadly diseases to other mammals and not just by the fleas they carry. On top of that, once these same rats who are so sensitive and intelligent overpopulate an area, they become cannibalistic and then insane to the point of destroying each other down to the very last one afterward. Yet a dog doing his job, keeping these violent invaders at bay, is seen as a bad guy here though not killing every single last one of them as they would even do to each other. Incredible! You seem as though you are very misled, naive, brainwashed, and/or very sheltered. Reality/the real world is very different from the cartoons and movies made of these disgusting pests.
i really liked the information at the end of the clips. learning about the picture in a bit more detail. thank you 40HF for another very interesting video.
Wow most of these photographs are terrifying as well as intriguing! it's like when you pass a car crash and everyone is rubber necking👀 What a fantastic array of photographs. thanks 😦😯
The masks were creepy as hell! 😳 Actually, most of these pics are. The dolls in the doll factory looked like Babyface from Toy Story. 😄 They were all definitely interesting.
This is a great collection of photos. Very eclectic. ❤ I just wish the font was slightly larger and easier to read. I had to pause often just to squint and read what it said. 😢
Miss Amy - same here bcuz i am watching on my phone. I discovered on my iphone 12 that if you press on the picture an “stretch” your fingers it does magnify. Just discovered it right now.
you are excellent at creating incredible videos, because it is a long video we do not even notice the number of minutes, but the quality that is your work.
@@Cojo910 woah your right. This child? With a big bow on her head and the sacked kid is really beyond bizarre. What coukd these 2 be working as? Idk dont want to think nefarious….. the sacked looks like there is a bow on the sack as well …..
9:41 is painful to see.....I hope that she made it out but I doubt it. The fact that children were involved as well.....Its horrible. They were doing this to young children as well. Chasing them and beating them to death and sometimes torture of them. It was HORRIBLE.
I just finished a documentary about a tribe that visits the caves where their ansestors are buried every year as a celebration. They unearth them, unwrap they cloths the skeletons are in, celebrate with them, then wrap them back up in clean linens and bury them again until the next time. Its a very emotional day for them. Even though we may see it as strange or against our own beliefs, they have their own religions.
As to the "Mad Bomber," from what I've read and seen about him, following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbour, which brought America into WWII, until the War's end in 1945, he took a hiatus on planting bombs because he didn't want to disrupt or impede the war effort. Very patriotic of him...
I felt so claustrophobic after the photo of the isolation box, that was used for people who contracted smallpox! I would much preferred to be shot then placed inside that!!!
Baby doll with two faces was a popular bisque doll for little girls. Thierault and Kestner both made one, followed by others. There was even a 3-headed one of Red Riding Hood, Grandmother, and the Wolf.
The Jewish woman being chased and what looks like beaten by the Ukrainians in 1941 is horrendous. How little people actually know or cherry pick what they want to know or what they want to forget in todays climes. 🤔
I dont even wear resding glasses but the writing is so small i cany read the caption for almost none of them with the measure of time given. Please fix that .,..i love your channel
It would be nice if there was someone narrating what the pictures are. Sorry I have brain cancer and my eyes don't work like they used to and the print is kind of small 🤕🎗️
And people wonder why ventriloquist dolls are possessed . Noticing some of the old photos, the family's never smile . Capturing pictures of family members 130 years ago might as well be a thousand years , everything looks so depressing . Thank you !
10:43 This is my guess: It looks like it's a dead child on the right who had decayed and it's broken doll on the left. Possibly found by the police and this is a late 19th or early 20th century evidence or memorial photograph--or something along those lines. 11:05 This is not the only culture that did this. There are several cultures around the world old and current that still revere their dead relatives in their home or in a special sanctuary on their property.
The most difficult one to see is the Jewish woman running for her life. I couldn’t quit crying after seeing it. What a horrific time for humanity and now look what’s happening in that country again.
The isolation tank looks a lot more like a hyperbaric chamber for Caisson Disease experienced by workers at depth pressure often building platforms for bridge supports in unpressurised boxes (now more usually known as divers' bends)
Talk about taking mummy for a walk...and the lady running for her life during the pogroms is historical yet bone chilling. Fun fact a group of owls is called a parliament. I enjoy looking at these photos.
@@2TexasTuff true. But way more scary and cool when u had to make ur own costume with a burlap sack and draw with a piece of coal then goto some store and buy a lame thor costume.
This was really interesting. The pogrom погром photo is haunting like most from the wwII era. But most I have never seen. My son is a scuba diver and liked the photo of the old dive suit. Very well put together.
Most people are viewing this video on their phone. So why not make the writing just a little bit bigger so that we don’t have to get bifocals or a magnifying glass to read it?
@ 10:28 looks like some early manipulation of photography however, the ventriloquist dummy looks a lot like a child that has been beaten beyond normal recognition.
